Hi. I have a problem with Wave Cast. My setup is: a gaming PC + a laptop. I send audio from the PC. The microphone comes from the laptop. The actual problems are:
- I can hear myself in my headphones.
- All audio from the PC, on that same PC, is also being fed into the input (for example, if I play a video, the video audio is present in the Wave Cast input).
It sounds like the audio goes from the PC to the laptop, and then comes back again to the PC.
If I choose not “All audio” but only the browser with the video for testing, I stop hearing myself, but the input still receives both the browser audio and the microphone audio.
In general, it does not matter which devices I select in Wave Cast. At first I tried using Wave Link, then I disabled Wave Link and selected one sound card directly as the output and the microphone as the input. That did not help. I selected a different sound card and microphone, and that did not help either. I selected the laptop speakers and microphone as the output, and it was the same issue. No matter which combinations I try, I can hear the microphone audio, regardless of what I select.
I also tried uninstalling Wave Cast on both the PC and the laptop. On the PC, I disabled all audio devices except the ones created by Wave Cast. I rebooted both the PC and the laptop. I checked “Listen to this device.” The only things I have not tried yet are sending audio to another laptop or creating a new test user on this laptop.
