i was trying to get some help the other day but time limited me. i have the hd60 pro internal card and my ps4 hooked up to it. i can see gameplay through the capture software and obs, but when i put my monitor onto the source, it tells me i have no signal detected.

Yea I actually got it working now. It was a cable. However it made me think it wasn’t a cable at first because I used three different cables. Apparently those cables are junk now

May be a dumb question but was looking at the cap card prime day sales and almost grabbed the HD60 but was wondering if there’s an overall better quality stream output if you have 4k video coming in through the 4k60 and downscaling afterwards to 1080 through OBS. Or is it just worth to get the HD60

I'm using an Xbox 1S, so I made sure that power-saving mode was on, which seems to be how to turn HDCP off, but still just a black screen. I also loaded the utility software.

I have the HD60X to connect my nintendo switch to my PC. I only have one monitor, the PC is on HDMI1, switch/capture card is on HDMI2. When I'm on PC and open Elgato Capture Utility, there is no issue, i have both audio and video. If I switch to HDMI2, I have video, but no audio. I'm using a wireless headset with USB dongle plugged in the PC. Can anybody help me?

Hey there! I bought a HD60 X recently, and I've been trying to use it with my Nintendo Switch, though it's reading "- NO SIGNAL-" and I think the culprit may be that the Switch itself is still trying to output to the screen itself? When it's sat in the dock, the Switch is displaying on the screen, implying it isn't connected to a screen. Any thoughts?

2. On all of them I don’t have game audio. Why is that and how do fix it

the chatlink picks up your party's voice but not yours. You need a mic to your pc for your voice to be on stream.

No worries! OBS is quite a complicated tool but once it’s set correctly you ideally don’t have e to touch it again

So in the bottom right there should be the settings button which brings up your settings, the main ones you’re gonna care about is ”video” and ”output”.
In video, you can set your desired resolution and frame rate, it’s pretty self explanatory, I’d suggest 1080p60 as that is what the switch outputs in its dock.
Output is where you set your encoder settings, at the top you need to set it from simple to advanced, and then there’ll be a bunch of settings available,in the streaming tab, set your “encoder” to “quicksync” and your “bitrate” to 6000kbps, also check that “rate control” above that is CBR

For the recording tab you’ll want different settings, I’m assuming any recordings would end up on YouTube?

Hello! My Capture Card (HD60 S) had been working for the longest time, but all of a sudden, it isn't? I've tried restarting the audio device, unplugging and replugging everything in, but nothing seems to work and I keep getting the No Signal screen. I'm working with a Nintendo Switch, and whenever I plug the USB 3.0 in, it flashes white twice, and once I open my capture software, it flashes red and refuses to work. Could someone please help me?

Hi, I am using the Game Capture HD60 X on OBS with my Wii U. The only issue I'm noticing is that there's a slight delay that gets more and more obvious. I increased the Sync Offset to keep the audio up with the camera, but I believe this causes problems with the GamePad audio (as they aren't in sync). Any suggestions?

I just created one source. I enabled Monitor and Output in Audio Monitoring to hear what was being recorded.

I'm not able to use the Capture Device in two sources. I have to deactivate one to use the other.

you should be able to. one is a video capture and you'd mute that one. the other is an audio input and you'd monitor and output that one.

Hi All....I recently purchased a Panasonic HC-VX1 camcorder which supports 2160p hdmi output and an Elgato HD60 X for the purpose of live streaming. 1080p hdmi output is working in OBS Studio as expected. However 2160p hdmi output is not working as expected; the camera's hdmi output won't show in OBS Studio at all. I've done a fairly thorough search here. (I'm using the recommended micro-hmdi lead that was supplied with the camera) - (on a Macbook Pro 16-inch 2021 | Apple M1 Max | 32GB | MacOS Monterey). (Also using an Alogic Fusion USB-C cable to the macbook if that's relevant).
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Since yesterday, whenever I'm streaming the video and audio suddenly freeze and basically crash. It's as if my PC is no longer getting any output from the Elgato within OBS. If I turn off OBS and move over to the Elgato 4K Utility software, I'm not getting any output either.
The Elgato itself is still getting powered as the HDMI passthrough works fine and I'm able to play the game on my screen, it's just not getting captured anymore.

Ever since it started to happen yesterday it's been happening non stop today, happening anywhere between 20 - 90 minutes when i'm streaming.

I've already checked the energy settings in Windows regarding USB devices and they're all set up in such a way that Windows isn't allowed to turn anything off to save power. I have tried using a different USB cable, but that just stopped the entire thing from capturing footage period.

IN should be connected to your Switch Dock, OUT to your TV/Gaming Monitor. USB-C shoudl connect to the Capture card, and the USB 3.0 to your Streaming PC's USB 3.0 port.

Yeah I just got a reply from the el gato help ticket. They say the HD60S isn’t compatible with the M1 chip, and you need the Intel chip or windows… but that doesn’t seem right? Im sure there’s people who can stream on the Hd60s with their Macs

Hey everyone! I had hella PC issues recently that I ended up fixing by getting a new display, but my issues havent quite fixed. I reinstalled Windows when troubleshooting, and I think Im still having driver issues now.

My 4k60Pro isnt being recognized in my Device manager, even after manually installing the directly downloaded driver. None of the random solutions on Elgato's site or YouTube vids have helped. Anyone know what may be going on or how I can get it fixed? The farthest Ive gotten once was it being recognized, but it only showing a blank grey screen, but now Im back to square one

I have just about switched around every sound setting I have which has screwed it all up more so I have no idea what to do or how to fix it. yea that's what I was thinking off as well, all my other usb devices keep working however and it's still powering the elgato as it's still passing the HMDI through from my console -> Elgato -> Monitor. It's just the video and audio autput from Elgato -> PC that stops working.

I'll try another cable tomorrow but when I did that yesterday it didn't work at all xD

There's also no notification in Windows that there's a power issue nor is there anything noteworthy in the log files of OBS.

Hi, I've recently purchased an Elgato HD60 X for streaming purposes. I'm pretty sure my PC can stream up to 60 FPS consistently but for some ungodly reason, I can stream at 60FPS for some time but then I experience a loss of frame rate and It goes around 30fps... but OBS still tells me It goes at 60fps... This may be a weird setup but this is what I need help with. I have a brand new m2 macbook air that I want to screen capture the setup process. I have a USB c dongle to output with HDMI to my HD60s which is then plugged into a Dell Windows laptop. In OBS, the screen cap only appears at random, with Elgato game capture it shows me the background but none of the setup windows on the desktop. Game cap software does show an HDCP error when input source is set to PC or other. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi! These are my devices.

1. Elgato CamLink 4k (refurbished from Amazon)
2. Alienware m15 r3 laptop Windows 11
3. Micro HDMI cable
4. Sony Alpha a6000

So, I have everything plugged in. I also have the recommended settings for my DSLR that were given in the YouTube video linked below. But when I go to OBS to add the source, it does one of two things; 1) The output preview lags when I switch to CamLink from the Integrated Camera or 2) It shows up as the image below (highlighted in the red outline, with the black and white stripes). The output also doesn't show up on other platforms such as discord or Streamlabs. One thing I did notice, though, is when I plug the CamLink into my laptop, the white LED light on the CamLink stays solid for a solid 2 second, then does a controlled flicker around 3 times and goes dark. Maybe this will indicate something? Someone please help me get an output 😭Also if anyone can help please ping or reply to this message so I get a notification.

@warped ledge do you know if there's anyway for me to check whether or not it's a power bandwith issue? the problem still persists even after switching to 3 different USB ports. The thing that confuses me the most is that this device was working fine the first week and i've only been having these issues since monday. I'd normally think that if it were a power issue i'd be experiencing these kinds of issues from day one, especially since those streams were a couple of hours long each day.

Also ordered a new braided USB-c to USB-a 3.0 cable in hopes of that might be the cable

yeah, not sure entirely, but if you said it did work correctly in obs I'd try that route and turn off hdcp with that keyboard shortcut they mention if possible.

I'm using a 2-PC setup with the 4K60 Pro in the "stream PC". I just upgraded the "gaming PC" to an MSI RTX 4080 Gaming X Trio with an Alienware 1080p 360hz monitor. I've connected the monitor to the gaming PC using displayport with an HDMI connection to the in on the capture card. I tried following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jI6pEKQ-wg and two other similar guides to set up the cloned displays, thinking it's the mhz causing the problem. Nothing I've done has changed that the 4k Capture Utility shows "No Signal", although the gaming PC recognizes the capture card as a display. Changing settings in 4K Capture Utility causes the gaming PC monitor to flicker on apply, but still no signal.

I tried to set the gaming monitor to 360hz and the capture card to 60hz in Nvidia Control Panel, but was having difficulty getting the setting to stick. Notably, changing the setting to 240hz or 60hz made no change on the "No signal"

I tried cycling through all the device settings in 4K Capture Utility

Gaming PC was also upgraded to Windows 11

Hi guys, I have an insanely weird issue with my elgato hd60s+. It's a bit of a long story, I reset my computer because it broke, before my elgato ran perfectly well with doing minimal changes to it. After resetting my computer, all my records/streams is now acting like the video below. Does anybody know how I could fix this issue? Really would appreciate it.

The video was recorded in streamlabs obs, and I also tested OBS, still was very buggy, appreciate all the help.

Super choppy frames, I'm connected to an Xbox Series X with my HD60S+. This has only happened since I reset my PC, since before I had a PC, an Xbox One S, and the same elgato, and it was buggy with my xbox one S, but once I got the series X, it ran perfect.

Good morning, after about almost a year I wanted to do live via obs with my ps5 and elgato hd60s+ .

The other night I did a test on twitch and the chat was telling me that the video capture was not smooth. While in the past it was, again I haven't played it in several months.

Can anyone help me? Do I need to change any settings on obs? Because on the secondary monitor, I see the gameplay smoothly from the ps5.

I’m sure this question was asked before and I’ve tried looking through the feed but no luck. So I hooked my HD60 s+ up then I opened up stream labs created a video capture devise using the elgato. Everything is working up until I open up a game in full screen like (call of duty) then in the editor display the feed goes green. I can go into game setting and turn it from full screen to borderless and then it will capture the video but that’s not ideal for gaming

some cards can have latency, but there should be an output to prevent this so you can game normally on a TV/Gaming Monitor 2nd to your Streaming PC's screen.

the hdmi in into the Switch and the HDMI Out to my first monitor (since i don't have a second monitor and a splitter)

Recently I have been having a Issues with my 4K60 Pro MK2, After a Cool Boot with Fast Boot diabled my capture card will not be detected. I have checked device manager and it will not be there or say any driver issues. Pass though on the other hard works perfeftly without any issues. I have to restart my PC for it to become detected in the software. If I was to do a shutdown and another cool boot the device will say again Not Detected untill I restart.

Steps taken

• Uninstall & Reinstall Drivers
• Uninstall & Reinstall 4K capture
• Check PCIe Lane in BIOS (Not Detected on Cool boot but is oni Restart)
• Reseat PCIe Card
• Reset BIOS

I have the exact same issue with the HD60 S+ :/ same setup, just capturing Nintendo Switch insteaad.
It was working just fine for a long time, but from one day to another there was no sound coming through anymore... tried all trouble shootings that are in the FAQ on the homepage and reinstalled software and drivers as well... but nothing works x)

Hi guys, I have an insanely weird issue with my elgato hd60s+. It's a bit of a long story, I reset my computer because it broke, before my elgato ran perfectly well with doing minimal changes to it. After resetting my computer, all my records/streams is now acting like the video below. Does anybody know how I could fix this issue? Really would appreciate it.

The video was recorded in streamlabs obs, and I also tested regular OBS, still was very buggy, appreciate all the help.

Super choppy frames, I'm connected to an Xbox Series X with my HD60S+. This has only happened since I reset my PC, since before I had a PC, an Xbox One S, and the same elgato, and it was buggy with my xbox one S, but once I got the series X, it ran perfect before I reset my PC.

#capture-cards message Extremely disappointed that I still do not have a fix for this issue. I've contacted support and I'm lucky to even get a response within a timely manner. It's been nearly a month at this rate. If anyone happens to know anything on fixing this particular issue I'd like to hear it and try anything I haven't tried already at this point. I tried diffrent things for 6hrs today and what i found was that when i set my capturecard at 120hz for some reason the screen tearing is gone but only 50% of the time, so fckn random. I'm gonna try to call the support tomorrow its just a joke that this is a thing, so disappointed in the product

Question/Issue: I had issues initially with the audio not outputting, but after talking to support it was due to my pc being in power saving mode, this initially fixed the issues aswell as updating my drivers, however recently there was crackeling that came from the capture device until it turned into a loud static noise which eventually change to no audio output at all. Audio is coming out of my monitor so its not a HDMI issue and it was initially working, usually reseating the cables fixed this but it doesnt now. It's a new device so its unlikly to be broken sincce it was working fine.

create 2 sources in OBS, one is video and mute it. 2nd is audio input, select your capture card, and in audio mixer’s advance audio properties, monitor and output it. Should be a simple fix.

Hey, yeah I followed the tutorial on how to set it up but the problem is that when I go to the main menu everything works like it should but then anytime there’s a transition taking place
(for example starting up a game)

the monitor will start screen tearing and the top of it will have the effect as if it was broken or it will split into 3 as shown in the picture

I have to go into a game already loaded in then unplug and replug the capture card for it to work smoothly on obs and monitor but it just glitches out or freezes at some point anyways

I spent $200 on this and it arrived yesterday brand new yet my old $25 capture card is working better so I would just like to know if this is an issue I can fix or if I should just return it

For @clever lotus and @azure goblet , are you using fullscreen, or windowed fullscreen? If fullscreen, test windowed fullscreen and let me know if the same thing occurs.

I think I fixed it. I uninstalled the Digital Audio Interface driver, reset my computer, and it worked. Audio has a bit of hiccups here and there tho, but overall works.

Hey has anyone been having issues with their 4K60 Pro where they have it plugged into an Xbox Series X and when they turn on certain games, the source is no longer able to be found?

I think the issue is when certain games turn on that use certain HDR settings or something the card has issues converting at the same time. Ive found that completely closing the 4K Capture program and then starting it again helps? Or going to the Xbox Home Screen then going back in sometimes works. But its just annoying that it happens.

Hello guys, i need help with HD60X. I want a faster support so i want to ask in the community first before i submit a ticket for it.

So i got 2 computer,
PC 1: Ryzen 9 3900x, 2080 super 32GB of RAM.
PC2 (which i just built): Intel i7 13700k, 3080 TI, 64GB of RAM.

So i want to use the PC one as a streaming pc and the other for gaming. Howower, I want to use displayport for my gaming experience, so i just plug in the DP to the GPU -> monitor, but also using HDMI from the GPU -> Capture card (IN). Then Capture Card (Out) -> Monitor and Type C -> PC1.

so on PC 2, on NVIDIA control panel, on the multiple displays tab, i cloned the main monitor vs the capture card, so it will display the screen on to the streaming PC (1)>

I dont know if it's a right way to do it, because when i use HDMI, i can only do 60HZ on my monitor. That's why i have to use DP for this way. Can someone help me with this?

Question / Issue: The capture software, 4K Capture Utility, is unbelievably laggy. Like, a frame every 2-3 seconds. I've experienced a lot of lag on a less powerful pc, but firstly, I've since switched from that pc, and secondly, it was never this bad. I’d imagine unless something is set incorrectly on your Xbox one it would swap without issue so maybe check without the hd60x to ensure hdcp is disabled on your console

I have a small issue. Previosuly I couldnt hear pc and console audio at the same time. I now can only hear my console audio if I have obs open but now the console audio will be synced up perfectly and the gradually it will become more and more seperated from what actually happens. For example a noise will happen in game and then 10+ seconds later I will hear it, Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello my name is Jay and I just got the Elgato hd60x I was trying to connect my ps5 to the hd60x.

And watched the video u guys made like at least a good 10 times to see what I was doing wrong.

I wasn't able to find any solutions and all it would say in 4k capture utility
“Device is in use by other software”.

Not sure what that meant so I looked in obs nothing all it was screen link
And so I checked streamlabs and same thing screen link ill show a picture.

And not sure what the blue led light meant but I decided to try my switch same thing. I mean could u guys please help a guy out?

There might be a few things in properties in OBS you need to check, and also go to their site and download the software for the card. If i remember correctly there’s a couple things there you might need to change too. YouTube has some videos. Worst case, I could share my settings later when I get home if you don’t find an answer. (I too am using the HD60x via PS5)

Hey all, new elgato owner here.
Device: 4k60pro mk2
Latest software and formare update done just now.
Latest windows 11 - up to date as of writing
Single PC - elgato connected to 4070 by hdmi - and LG C2 (2022) both cables capable of doing 4k 120hz tested before hand.
Elgato 4k utility from website - up to date

ISSUE: UNABLE to get 120hz for 4k resolution pass through. While under settings, device if I select display as I've seen suggested online - my resolution goes down to 1024x768. The edid ( internal) is default. The maximum showing up in there is 3440x1440. There is no 3840x2160 (4k) my desired resolution. If I try to change that dropped down res from 1024x768 to 4k windows says keep settings etc but the res stays the same. Also, from windows while under the low resolution if I try to increase from 60hz to 120hz ( max for the monitor) it does nothing as well.
The most I can get it to do now after a full day of troubleshoting is I'm sitting at 2k resolution in windows, 4k utility is showing 1440p 120hz hdr with hdmy bypass, input edid is internal and edid internal is on default. I've tried merged as well but it didn't help.
Any clue? As I really don't want to play in this resolution. I'm happy for it to record and stream in this res but not for me to play in.

Hey, I just got a hd 60 pro, put it into one of my pcie 1x slot and put in the hdmi from my swith into the in port and nothing shows up in the game capture app, it cant identify my capture card, but if I put in an out hdmi and plug it into my screen I can use my switch just fine, so I assume the capturecard works just fine

I'd assume you havent yet but you may consider reaching out to elgato directly by either submitting a ticket or even better calling them to see if they may be able to assist more.

Not sure if @fiery lava every found a solution to their issue either.

one thing i did notice after watching 1000 youtube videos. in my nvidia control panel the 4k60 pro is stuck at 144hz theres options for 60hz but it wont stay. in my desktop display settings i can change it 60hz or 120, 140 but it flickers if not on 60hz but its aligned correctly.

Have you created two sources? The first one should be video, and you want to mute it. The second one should be audio input, do you want a selector capture card. And then in the audio mixer, advanced audio properties, do you want to monitor an output, the audio input for your capture card.

how come your capture card isn’t showing vs screenlink? try changing your settings in 4k Capture Utility to select your capture card not screen link. See if that fixes it.

Alright, if I were you I'd try uninstalling 4k utility and any other elgato software you have currently installed. reboot. open obs and add the source from scratch.
