If the plugin that adds the notification in chat about key card swipes has the capability of logging/announcing the swipes via webhook, having a channel that has that info would be helpful. Chat on the zombies server goes really fast sometimes and it's easy to miss when someone says they're at a monument or asks if someone is there already so they don't make the trip there for nothing. A monument owner-type plugin would be ideal from a player perspective, but I know those plugins are usually pretty taxing on servers.

Would be good to have this and be able to see how long ago it was swiped so you know if ots reset yet i traveled half the map to find it was taken 10 mins before i logged on

Kevin said this is too much of an advantage to heavy players when I suggested this previously

I feel like I should understand what you mean by “heavy players”. Assuming you mean people that hit monuments constantly, people can keep track of swipes and time their visits to monuments currently if they really want to by paying close attention to chat. My suggestion would really help the more casual player not waste time by traveling across the map to a monument that was just cleared. With pop reaching max capacity, monuments are being run on cooldown. I feel like this will help take turns, unless someone has a better suggestion. I feel like something needs to change though.

It's a good suggestion. The monuments are limited resource with contention for use. Meanwhile there's a (good) policy around first-come first-serve. So the question is, how do we help people manage those two? The current informal process only works so-so. The only other thing I could think of is you "sign up" in a queue for a monument but that's very complex. I also would like to understand more how this would advantage "heavy players" (however you define that). If anything I think this would help the casual player who has limited time to game and doesn't wanted it wasted running to a monument for nothing.

There would be so many people watching for the notifications just so they could wait near the exit and just jump anyone leaving

The problem is loot availability becomes even more scarce for average players. The players that are skilled at using those timers would get the loot the very second it respawns, therefore anyone who doesnt use that system would really never see any loot.

Part of the fun in Rust is the immersion, and getting this info from in-game. The more it has structure like an arcade game it takes away from that feeling of discovery in-game

I did create another version of the card swipe rewards, and it has an automated timer in-game every 15 minutes of the recent card swipes. It worked really well actually and was fair to people paying attention in-game, rather than specific players watching it like a hawk when others dont get the same information.
