#Writing Contest Suggestions? Prompts? Ideas?

Probably one that isn't as big as the collab fanfiction.
Yeah something a little more simple me thinks
@vapid ore you've shown some interest in this stuff iirc, if you wanna chip in when you get chance that'd be grand
Though it did get done which was good but a fair amount of users aren't from the server
I’ve got an all OC writing idea in the works. It’d feature total writing freedom, but specific themes must be present and the writers can choose between a pool of 20 or so themes
Its still in the alpha phase
I've been sitting on the idea of like, au stuff as well? like a prompt like "bramblepaw joins tawnypaw in leaving thunderclan" and folks gotta try and write their own piece imagining that sort of circumstance
rough idea
That’s also good!
I think that's a good idea. Or what if the collar didn't break during the fight with long tail?
AU where warrior cats is good
I think 20 themes is a bit much
5-7 is a good selection
But I'm thinking for the first writing contest, it should be an au
Au where leaf and crow got to be a family ❤️
Fair, cause mine is extremely ambitious
So a selection of 5 simple AUs should be a good start. We should have a minimum word count I think. 🤔
- leaf and crow become a family
- Rusty's collar didn't break in the fight with long tail
- bramblepaw joins tawnypaw in leaving thunderclan
What if swiftpaw survived?
or both swift/bright died?
Or if bluestar kept her kits in TC?
i like those prompts
we def should have a minimum word count, im thinking maybe a maximum too-- just so we don't surpass a certain amount by too much
😳
Yes definitely. We also should not count grammar and spelling too much due to language barriers. But there should be some sort of grading scale. I was thinking back to school basics. For example, let's do basics of 1-5
Grammar: able to understand, basic usage of paragraphs....
5/5
Spelling: Few spelling mistakes
5/5
Creativity: blah blah blah
5/5
Kept to Warrior Cats Universe: no supernatural powers, out of the book things, blah blah blah blah
5/5
I would think something simple like this?
We could combine spelling/grammar to one. And just call it readability.
Also with writing. I think we should keep the entries anon.
When it comes to the voting?
