so nova we just got xammp and the got this server file but in file explorer and we clicked on fx, we did the instant code and entered the backup passwords and it say fail to fetch

ok, so to prevent myself from losing braincells from yall here is the most simple way i can put it. If you cant do it still then stay a player

Start FXServer/txAdmin (Windows)

  1. Close everything
    Quit FiveM, txAdmin, and any old FXServer windows.

  2. Open the artifacts folder
    Go to where FXServer.exe lives (example: D:\HomeHostServer\Artifacts\).

  3. Run FXServer.exe
    Double-click FXServer.exe.

    • If Windows asks, click Allow on firewall popups.
    • You should now see a black FXServer/txAdmin console window. Leave it open.
    • It should also show in the taskbar.

  4. Open txAdmin in your browser
    Go to http://localhost:40120 (or the URL shown in the console).

  5. Link the Cfx.re account
    On the “No Cfx.re account linked” page, type the PIN shown in the console/UI and click Link Account.

  6. Done
    If the PIN works now, the only problem was that the server wasn’t running.

If they STILL mess it up (quick checks)

  • No console window? They never started FXServer.exe.
  • “Failed to fetch” again? Their PC has no internet or the firewall blocked FXServer—reopen and Allow.
  • Very old build? Grab a recent artifacts build and try again.

Short version you can paste:

“Open your artifacts folder, run FXServer.exe, leave the black console open, go to http://localhost:40120, enter the PIN, and click Link. If you don’t start FXServer.exe, the PIN will always fail.”
