hey, can someone help me i already have “set sv_lan 1” in my server.cfg but it still doesn't work

Okay, you need to make sure your server is properly configured in server.cfg and that you have enabled everything via Windows Firewall for the FXServer section.
Then, in local mode, you don't need to go through the F8 console.
Below the Play button on FiveM, you have a button to connect directly.

the server.cfg is standard, i.e. the latest standard esx version i only want to play with lan so i don't want to open my ports or anything else which is why i actually want to use sv_lan 1 because it worked that way back then too

Afterwards, on the txAdmin, you put yourself in maintenance mode where the Admins can connect. That way, whether you have the ports open or not, no one will come and bother you.
