For someone to be able to access your FiveM/RedM server or txAdmin from the internet, you need to open ports 30120 TCP/UDP and 40120 TCP.
For detailed instructions, click on the button below that matches your host.

open the port 40120

How am I "dumb as fuck" please elaborate?

I stated in the first message I was having issues connecting to my linux server. I also stated that I have enabled port forwarding on my router and linux server.

I never commented in a support channel because I knew what I was doing. I came to the support channel for support as that is what it is for. I also never came here to be called names or have my intelligence made fun of.

No need in that at all.

I used both addresses and none of them worked. I also did setup port forwarding. I can provide screenshots of this to show that I have done. I am also new to linux.

You could have said all of this without insulting me for no reason tbh.

# eternal matrix i mean, i do

because I came in for tech support and don't have the same knowledge as others doesn't give you the right to insult me.

Regardless I came here for tech support. Not to have a 4 way convo about stuff that has nothing to do with me.

@neon birch open the port correctly and it will work,
if you dont understand basic linux, i heavily suggest sticking to windows, since linux isnt officially supported anyway

his port is not open

nevermind

#

he actually just cannot read the terminal

#

going to the link txadmin says to, works just fine

That's probably because I reset my server pc. It wasn't working before hand

:point_right: If you are having ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:3306 when connecting to the database, this probably means you do not have a database installed or running.
windows Windows Home Hosted or VPS:
:one: Download and install XAMPP: https://www.apachefriends.org/
:two: Start MySQL: https://i.imgur.com/UNnKmnt.png
:three: On txAdmin, click on the Cancel button and try again.
linux Linux VPS or Self Hosted:
It depends on your distro (like CentOS, Ubuntu, etc), you will need to google how to install MariaDB in it.
pterodactyl Pterodactyl setups (most hosting providers):
Open a support ticket at your hosting provider to ask their help in setting up the database.
If your pterodactyl is self hosted (you own the instance), this video MAY be the solution.

(just checking cause it is techincally optional)

if you set you one, open this up, and it will give you the option to set the password for the connection 🙂
