name says enough i guess like making it play once through server side or blocking off the door until the cutscene is finished

#

This is intentional?

languid jungle
#

i was in the room with the guard

Did you teleport?

#

I got locked into there entering it in an intentional way after the cutscene was finished

#

Flipping the levers in there did not unlock the door either

#

Only thing I could do is look at funny white guy

Pretty sure but I don't remember

I did also encounter this issue yeasterday while playing with my friends (2 vr 2 non-vr players). I will try to reproduce this soon™️ and let you know, as the non-vr player got trapped, not me mlem)

#

Again I'm not sure if you guys are encountering a bug or intended feature

weary steeple
#

That is why I want to try reproduce it myself as well 😅 No idea if my friend didn't had any idea what to do or what happened there, but he was stuck for like 10 minutes lol

The doors are supposed to close when a player walks in after the guard cutscene

#

The player is then supposed to make sure 3 levers are flipped to open the doors

Yup mlem

I've done this cutscene many times for testing (it's one of the events I use for Quest memory testing) and I've had no issues haha

#

But yes a video outlining the issue would be nice

Welp I can't reproduce it now as well lul But we did have a weird scenario while the cutscene so this might help, assuming my friend had an idea what to do lol
I was the host, PS VR2 player, second VR player was Rift S user. 2 players playing non-vr version. We did encounter the 096 room before, but we just decided to leave and run lol. 096 did get out of the room in the end, and the lock-out happened when another friend like 20 minutes later went into the cutscene room.

#

But yea, I will call my friend now and try to replicate it, if I can't I will guess my friend had no clue what to do in there lmao

shut umbra
#

Okay that does kind of help

#

Cutscene starts -> 096 leaves the room -> player goes into 096s room and gets trapped

weary steeple
#

Lets hope that is indeed a reproduction case 😅

#

Currently went into the hallway and left, waiting few minutes for 096 to leave and we will see what happens

#

I'm releasing a fix for the lights in a 2.4.1 update later today, so maybe later this week it will be patched if I get around to finding it

weary steeple
#

(I might give you a bit more work than just this lockout tho >.> Currently trying to write a feedback post, as the game is great but we did find some issues yesterday in like 4+ hour long session lol)

#

I will gather some clips of stuff happening and send in the post as well, but yea I need to write it first nkogigle

#

All info helps thxs

weary steeple
#

I know exactly how much it helps, I'm a Java dev myself Kapp

#

Writing "this doesn't work" by someone is the worst thing ever, if they don't give any information on what is happening and how they caused it

shut umbra
#

Literallyyyyyy

#

And I sure as hell ain't gonna spend my free time trying to track down the exact issue

#

(unless it's too obvious ofc)

weary steeple
#

Ye lul

shut umbra
#

Debugging takes a whole lot of time because we have to build each fix for the Quest

#

So I'll spend 4-5h fixing, building, testing for a lot of bugs

weary steeple
#

Multi-platform projects can sometimes be a big hassle >.>

#

Let's hope my bugs aren't going to be that bad lul

#

Also it will most likely be a huge pile of questions more than bug reports, as some stuff might be known / intended or what not, but we will see

shut umbra
#

Ya, feel free to @ me for anything

weary steeple
#

Okay but an update on this issue: I waited for the 096 to leave the room, went inside, and it just worked as intended hmm_cat

#

If someone else reports it / we will encounter it again I will ping ya about it with exact situation what happened. If this is really a bug, I am going to guess it's related to networking, and someone has to be connected to a host to trigger this.

#

But yea, this will require futher testing, and if it's not common, it might be left for later
