Thanks i've been applying sporadically but really planning on ramping up in the next couple of weeks just wanted advice before doing so
anyone think i could get away with calling myself a swe here:
Why, for relevance?
yeah basically. I just feel calling it swe is better that mle obv
How’d you go about getting an MLE role at meta haha
Anyways resume seems good
As for the MLE thing, I don’t think you can call it SWE based on the bullets but you can make up some MLOps stuff if you can talk about it
Otherwise bullets look p solid honestly
I think recruiters don’t usually read that deep and they aren’t technical anyways, but it does seem like you did stuff and completed your work which is what matters most once you have a good couple internships on the resume
It was a DS role but I was able to leverage it towards being ML internally
thanks though and yeah I was like it seems like a stretch calling it SWE thanks for confirming lol
lmk if theres any feedback on stuff I could improve!
Hm Icic. I guess you can say MLE, do know it’s a different selection process and a separate role so it might raise questions for some
Meta name should be good enough where saying “Data Science” would be no less on the resume tbh
As in afaik meta requires MLEs to have masters degrees minimum (at least according to what they say but I’m sure ppl got in without it by connections or going to a target etc etc)
I'm looking for a reliable, organized person to help with light errands (part-time). Pays well/week. Message me for details!
