Put your TA position as the last entry for experiences. While you’re still currently a TA it’s better to have SWE intern at Microsoft as the first experience

#

It’ll slightly improve your resume but new grad is just rough this year and the companies you listed (except Dell) that you were rejected from aren’t too surprisingly even with MS on your resume

#

Also in your bullet points pretty much everywhere you are writing about what you did and not the impact you created

#

Look at the pinned post under resume and read the Google X Y Z template

do i basically just BS some random statistics of what is realistic

#

for TA work, I'm thinking of adding the scale in terms of number of people influenced by what I did

#

e.g. over 1000 students now

#

50+ TAs probably

oh no its moved down already

#

but just for bullet points

bronze tangle
#

Oh right yeah that would be good

#

👎

#

Keep bullet points to a maximum of 2 lines

jagged mountain
#

oh yeah

#

not yet condensed

#

but just random statistic

#

that i make up

#

Reduced QA testing investigation by integrating (some tech here), using this tool, improving average time of investigation by 80%

#

Yeah rework those TA bullet points

#

i feel like i have too many things to say for TA work but not sure whats important

#

i feel like the technical stuff was what i rly spent most of my time

bronze tangle
#

For example Increased marking efficiency by 200% by developing a BASH script for quickly organizing student material etc etc

#

You can maximize some bullet points

#

but the teaching + leadership stuff is something thats not rly anywhere else in my resume

#

Trained, and hosted weekly sessions for over 1000 students and 50 TA colleagues on course material and delivery

#

1st, and 2 last bullet points all in one

added some BS / flair

#

@bronze tangle thoughts / nits?

I think its fine, not the best and not showing impact enough still overall

#

I think with what you're saying in your points its hard to actually show impact without lying completely

#

Instead of Web Development Engineer Lead say

#

Full Stack React Developer Lead

#

On your linkedin

#

But resume is fine

jagged mountain
#

yeah, the problem is specifically for my internship,

#

the results arent rly there

#

until way after i leave

bronze tangle
#

Yeah its maximized enough

#

You could ask your Senior engineer at MS what the impacts would be and write those

#

I did that for my resume impact

jagged mountain
#

yeah what i put down is basically the expected impact

#

because of how windows dev cycle work

#

stuff i did a year ago still isnt there lol

bronze tangle
#

That's normal

#

But I do think your resume is good and it's the tech recession heavily impacting reply rates

For Linkedin specifically its better to use a specific title

For what recruiters search for
