I know it was supposed to be a bug per se, but I really liked the "short tap" of the brakes. It helps a lot with the control. Especially when you are navigating through smaller gaps, you can easily engage the brakes by short tapping the brake key and focus on the turning and weaving, then short tapping it again when you want to disable the brake and accelerate. I find it over-complicated having to press on the brakes AND navigate with WASD when flying through small gaps and caves.
I know there are complaints from players about not knowing if the brake is on, and assume it to be a so-called "flight glitch". Perhaps it can be an option in the controls – players who like to use the function can use it, and players who don't can disable it?

I personally don't like tap to break (I get confused why it isn't working when I let go of the key after holding). But it would be a nice feature to have a setting for either:
- Tap to break/sprint
- Hold to break/sprint
Something in a similar vein as the "inverted flight" setting so players can configure it to their preferences
i agree with having it as option just like we have on the ground sprint and crouch tap/hold
not agree with the bug coming back as it was
I personally would rather them be separated. I prefer hold to sprint, but tap to brake.
And yup, that I understand. I know a lot of people do complain about it. But, for me personally, it's just a more intuitive way to fly. So I second it being an option.
No, I mean it can be separate settings for sprint and break. The original suggestion just mentioned break, so I expanded it to include sprint too 🙂
