Sometimes, at random times, my game freezes completely, stays frozen for a couple of minutes until I either close it from task manager, or it closes automatically, giving me the crash screen in the picture
I don't know what causes this, I don't know how to reproduce the issue either, but would appreciate some investigation around it since I lost several dragons due to crashes mid fight, I wouldn't mind it too much if restores were available for this, but I never got any restores either because official admins say that it's client side ||(and I can't clip my game with medal because in the second I close the game, the recording stops, so I can't record my death, which is one of the requirements to get a restore)||
At this point I'm scared of existing on elder/progs as well since I have 0 control over it, especially because I can't get restores (when this occurs, my dragon is hard logged, leaving it at everyone's mercy)
Still, DoD is the only game that causes this issue, other games like ark, minecraft (with mods and shaders) and so on run perfectly, even when multiple are open at the same time (DoD doesn't necessarily crash if I have one of these open in the back, again, those crashes are random, and don't seem to be related to other programs open in the back)
I upgraded my pc one year ago to meet the requirements to play DoD 1.0 in particular, and I run it with potato settings, besides lighting, which is set on low.
Usually there's nothing open in the background besides discord, or spotify in rare cases-
- Verifying my files doesn't do anything
- Reinstalling the game doesn't do anything either
- My drivers are updated
I hope I'm the only one because it's incredibly frustrating, but I also hope there's somebody else out there with this issue so at least I'm not alone
Side note - Usually, after clicking "send and restart", I can't see servers with easy anti cheat, and I have to manually restart the game to play on officials
