for stats,
dominant point at adult stage gives a possibility of a+ stats, dom at elder should be able to grant a++
to prevent high (5-10 or more) a++ statted dragons, recessive stats take a hit and become a-, meaning a dragon with a+ or a++ stats will produce offsprings with a- stats

for skins,
your and your mates parents' and grandparents' skins have a chance of showing up, additionally rare skins have a lower chance of passing on than more common skins
meaning, you could produce a leucistic, crimson, gold and a melanistic offspring if not more in just one nest

i combat any recessive skins from showing up in my nests by getting a pure bloodline - my grandparents, parents and myself have the same skin, my nests so far worked exceptionally well with producing only my skin

Sounds much more complicated now than how it is on Legacy confusing how a + makes -, making it seem it's pointless to have points in fert. The skins makes sense, but I love popping a variety of skins in a nest.

since you like a variety of skins, i can suggest having a few pairs without dom point to offer for people who want 18a dragons to nest others, and a dom pair that can offer a++ statted dragons to offer to people that wont nest on their dragons
