((Pictures are a couple messages below this one))

There are some places in the map that used to be cool, and now they look plain or forgotten, devs made this map, let's give people a reason to love and use all of it!

Ravine: (Orange in the picture)

  • Used to have water
  • Used to have another texture
    Ravine Improvements
  • Make it larger
  • Bring back water
  • Add bug spawns
  • Make it more than just a rocky texture! Bring back those grass patches!

Crater: (Blue in the picture)

  • Used to have trees
  • Used to have mushrooms
  • Used to have another texture
    Crater Improvements:
  • Add one round tree (similar to the one near falls)
  • Add some bug spawns
  • Maybe a snapper since water is quite deep
  • Lily pads in water
  • Grass texture

Two Craters:

  • Has always been a cool place, but never had any content
    Two Craters Improvements:
  • Credits to @sly inlet
  • Retexture them, and add small rocks throughout the area that look like a meteor broke up on impact
  • Add small tendrils of smoke rising in different locations like an elemental just slammed into the surface
  • Intermix the rocks with smaller crystal shards (Including elder crystals for utility), implying that the impact blasted into an underground cave
  • You could add geodes here too to match the theme. It would be a cool nod at the coming elementals

NW Redwoods

  • Used to be rich in bug spawns
  • Used to have Horseshoe, a pretty landmark with water
    NW Redwoods Improvements:
  • Bring back our beloved Horseshoe!
  • Bring back water and bugs

Back of River (Green in the picture)

  • Used to have a hatchy spawn on legacy
  • Used to have hatchy water on legacy
  • Used to have a large flat area with no trees and bug mounds
    Back of River Improvements
Add a water source (Bugs are already present! )
Add some bug mounds in the clear area between the trees

South area from ravine:

  • Used to have some bug mounds scattered around
  • Has been generally empty through all versions
    Improvements for this area:
  • Add a landmark, turn this area into something interesting: "Pillars", a large area with lots of rock pillars scattered around! Sick of tree flying? Try rock flying! 😂
  • Some elder crystals to make this place even more interesting
  • Hidden water area among these rocks, same for other AI like crabs and flowers

Arch Redwoods Improvements:

  • Add a small pond for water

Playground Improvements

  • Please bring back the water! (Magenta arrow in the picture points at an empty "bowl")

Barrens Improvements (Picture with blue heart because I ran out of colors)

  • Add a couple crab spawns
  • Add a small pond or waterfall, looks like a great place for flowing water

Gonna reply to this one rather than the original message cuz of the bot issue-- counter suggestion for 2 craters:

Since according to lore the elementals fall to the ground from the big red moon, instead of dressing the craters up with water and flowers, how about leaning into impact crater? Retexture them, and add small rocks throughout the area that look like a meteor broke up on impact. Add small tendrils of smoke rising in different locations like an elemental just slammed into the surface. Intermix the rocks with smaller crystal shards, implying that the impact blasted into an underground cave. And you could add geodes here too to match the theme. It would be a cool nod at the coming elementals

I love that idea for the crater! Maybe that could be added in, in the same update the elementals are added.

To OP, I wouldn’t worry so much about the ravine right now, it seems barren, but it’s being worked on. I can’t say a whole lot because it’s not public info, but a lot of the barren areas are like that because the map maker wasn’t done with them. Throughout the updates the map will definitely become more lively. I also miss horseshoe, I would like it back.
