Honestly this first step to elder feels like something simple like needing at least 1 passive elder tick to start eldering. It's not campable and not dependent on pvp, locomotion, etc

Well that's a prerequisite to even being able to start the process, the first actual step is the Inciting Incident which can happen anywhere at anytime.
Although it is, what's the word, cultivated to your professions so if you're not a crafter your Incident won't be crafting related.

Someone mentioned earlier that there were hints given for the previous eldering method, I was back tracking to look for what these hints were so I could see how they were worded in relation to the answer we already know, and perhaps learn something about how Jao likes to word things then apply that method to what hes saying now see if anything lines up enough to give a lead

We;'ve played the game long enough with it changing in development and we follwo the discord... but what about players who don't come in here?
