As a backer, I have shimmer pearls which are fantastic, but I’ve noticed the shimmer on almost every skin are pretty noticeable and a nice shimmer- but on leucistic you can barely see it unless it’s the right time of day, you squint, and then turn your head upside down while standing on one foot. Would love it if the shimmer could be corrected so that it pops a bit more. (As seen below - shimmer is applied and only the darker image BARELY shows it)

Not like legacy, that was way too saturated, but something a bit more obvious would be great!

IMO shimmer needs an adjustment on every skin, it's barely noticeable to me no matter what base its applied to. Maybe we dont need it as super saturated as legacy, but it definitely needs to be more intense because i cant see it at all unless I'm zoomed in and looking really hard

yep exactly! And they need to add some kinda complimentary but contrasting color to the leuc to make it less flat and one dimensional in tone. Like a soft pink, off-white or very very light grey, so the textures POP. Poor leucistic... it deserves so much better 😭

i agree with this completely! but maybe the devs made it more subtle intentionally? idrk. maybe they wanted the shimmer to be more realistic

might just be me but i also feel like the shimmer looks a lot more... oily? on the other skins, like it looks like the dragon fell into an oil spill rather than having shimmery scales. I felt that legacy's shim captured that feel better. I do agree that it shouldn't be as saturated, and that leuc shim needs a major upgrade too

It is funny because I recall many people comparing the old shimmer, especially on the black skins, to be an oilspil of colours. (Personally I loved it)
From what I gather the effect is uniform, so any changes done like increasing saturation or intensity so it shows stronger on the leucistic skin, would also mean the same changes would be done on all skins. So they may be subtle now and slowly tweaked over time when skincrafting is added to make it look the best across as many options as possible.

its a bit hard to explain but the shim now almost feels like they painted a coating of oil over the dragon, and not the skin itself actually shimmering. It felt more skin like in legacy to me, but i also can see the oily comparison there too, especially for some skins like mela that had a different tint. In this version though i kinda more prefer the base skins without the shim, which is sad because i would like to use them

100% Leuc needs to be able to see shimmer better, as is its really not noticable EVEN when youre looking for it!

The shimmer pearls should be different too instead of having two identical ones

The Golden skin (not the golden pearl) is also difficult to see it, especially when the light ambiently is intense from the sun.

I want to see it applied to an FS already but I’m waiting for my dragon to not be iconic for once.

However from what I’ve seen so far, shimmer is not very strong at all on most skins and would personally like it much closer to what it was in legacy.

I would also personally like it if the golden pearl and the shimmer pearl could be put on simultaneously, not one or the other.
