Makes no difference. Anyway launching isn't an issue for me, it's getting beyond the skybox and loading through the world map in a server - I could get into the dragon select menu and play the game (once in it runs fine), where if it timed out it would just take me back to the start up menu. But now it's hitting the fatal error crash in the skybox screen and nothing else

The solution to this problem is to use -Vulkan when starting the game on Steam

Before they updated the low spec is what I’m referring to, also now instead of being able to see at night everything goes from red to pitch black then back to red

Still not getting fatal errors too but doesnt get in servers, just kicks me back to menu without anything after its showing me the map. I remember running rdr2 without any error before but causing much issues to dod kinda weird. Sadly it did

Yes after this low spec update I was experiencing the same issue it would either crash or send me back to the menu even though before this low spec update I was able to play just fine. Now I have to play with worse graphics and use -vulkan to play. Took me awhile to be able to join any servers though after testing a bunch of different methods.

You can try running -vulkan in your launch options if you haven’t tried that already, I was able to play before on low spec and then they updated it and I was getting the same error as y’all or it would send me back to the menu. I tried -vulkan after clearing my download cache and it worked, the only problem though is now at night time it’s horrible cause it becomes pitch black and night vision makes it worse.

It took me awhile after trying different things to get it working again, nothing that would help y’all besides clearing your download cache and try putting -vulkan in your launch options

When they first added the low spec I had to download a better driver to run the game which for me was an nvidia driver

Also if you don’t have enough ram I don’t think you can play the game in 1.0

I managed to get into DoD, into a empty server and I ran around just fine but then I just crashed afterwards.
Like a minute later ? It wasn't laggy whatsoever and all my settings were on potato.

Afterwards that one minute gameplay It just continued to crash with either the gpu driver freezing, or the other crash error.

For people running this on a 3060, if your virtual memory is to low , it won't run the game, yeah the game has a low spec mode, but as it runs , your dedicated memory on the GPU will basically fill up.. I run the game on a 1080ti... but it also has 11 gigs of dedicated whereas some of the new cards have less, when buying a gpu, if you are planning to game on it... make sure it's got enough dedicated memory to run the game....

Why can’t there be 2 low specs versions made? One for 1.0 and one for legacy? Low spec was fine until it got updated then updated again to legacy. I can’t even play 1.0 anymore since that change was made. It’s so simple and easy to make a 1.0 low spec and a 1.0 legacy version, why not just have 2 separate ones? I could play 1.0 no problem on low spec and now it’s seems that I won’t be able to play until it’s fixed or they make another version of low spec just for 1.0

im happy to play even this one server with minecraft quality. Its important to me to even get in game i dont care do i get all these cool things. Im waiting in patience will it be worked. Just when I got red skin, the big night (or vacuum) arrived in lowspec, then I have to go out and wait 2 hours and 2 minutes for the day to arrive

If you cannot see in night even with nightvision, turn up your shadow quality high or above and then the nightvision will work.

All they have to do is make 2 versions, one is low spec for 1.0 and another for legacy then test them out before they release them so it's not absolutley broken and then they can work on other things like the dragons

They just need to add the low spec version they had first back in then the one for legacy name it legacy low spec

Like, TRANSFORM the new map from 1.0 in UE4 to lowspec

Most people will be able to play it though cause some peoples pc's aren't that good to run the game on UE5 but they can on UE4 also what exactly was the point for moving to UE5 if nothing changed?

They changed to UE5 for better graphics and performance is my guess but whatever they did they made it worse than what they had on UE4

There's so many players who can't play the 1.0 update and can only play on legacy and now they're stuck to working on these bugs, glitches and stuff that leads to them having to work on that stuff first rather than leaving it on UE4 and maybe make the mega map on UE5 that's going to be like 20 times bigger. So now they have to "fix" all this stuff and can't work on any of the new dragons
