#Mod skin

I think you mean admins? Would be lovely to have a Staff skin overlay maybe in 1.0 to see when they are "working"
I always forget if its mods or admins lol, but yes, a staff skin.
Even if its just something like a collar around their dragon's neck
a collar would be so cute, but maybe a specific color would also work, so it can't be mistaken at all
currently admins colors are yellow and orange so maybe something with those colors would work, but thats something we would need drawn ideas too to work on xD
the modmins would like a word xD
They are still admin in-game u3u
But hey if you wanna give mods a skin too I won't say no for sure ahahahah
Yes we would xD
i love the idea would be more easy to find us when there are 40 people on and more
The reason why you cannot see mods/admins from far away in game is to mainly catch people who act up offguard when they get close to a player that they really think is just a normal player, and since nametags are also coming back in 1.0, it'll make it more obvious now. There's no skin really needed for it. For a lot of games as is, mods and admins aren't usually in plain sight because players normally tend to act on their best behavior once they're near, but usually when there's none in sight, they act a fool. It's a sense of false security which is why you intentionally can't see if its a mod or an admin from far away until you get close. It's a good way to catch people trying to grief and such other negative things when they don't expect it.
Making the mods and admins more obvious to see is not really a good thing ultimately. Yes unfortunately no mod and admin can be on all the time, however there are of course some that very clearly need to be online that haven't been on in days but yeah.
When a mod/admin talks as is, you can see their name is of a different font than what a regular player has. Some mods and admins prefer to not be found and stay very far away from the main group to more so monitor the chats. This happens all the time in every game that allows it possible.
your reason is indeed a good point, that is also why i suggest it as a pearl being you can remove it, but i do see the problem you wanna expose
Yes. It's basically the equivalent of having a flashing police car just outside the house and around while there's a party going on. Of course people aren't gonna act up because they'll get in a lot of trouble, but as soon as there's none in sight, the opposite happens because the sense of punishment, responsibility, accountability is not present.
I love the spectate tool. It allows us to follow and check on players without them knowing. Much easier than trying to fly with an actual dragon. Quite a few let their guard down when they don't think anyone is watching.
Yes. some games also have a spectator tool to make it easier for those of such roles to be able to do just that.
I'm more surprised something like that is not just a built-in staple for all mass and or more than (4-10) player multiplayer games
Unless its a no rules server..
