#Deformities With Nesting

What if when your genetic quality is low (like non-nesting spawns) you have better chance to hatch with a mutation/deformity.

Itll give a lot more challenge if it affects the growth. Like if a shadow scale was hatched with a missing tail fin, itd render them flightless and more vulnerable to things like acid spitters!

Itll be exclusively low quality nesting and the menu spawns won't be affected. (Or will they!?)

I think this would add a nice touch of realism to the game, and could add a lot more character to player's dragons!

People have a hard enough time contesting against clans with strong dragons working in teams, they don't need anymore disadvantages starting out

as good of an idea this is, theres a few problems with it:

  • as already said, the people that cannot upnest on pvp servers are already at a disadvantage, lacking the numbers, planning and genetic diversity of players and dragons. this would make it unreasonably hard on them.
  • the models would need to be modified to suit this, which would create quite a bit of work, as well as program in mechanics for this.
  • its just frustrating for nesting in general. imagine trying to upnest something and it comes out with a deformity despite having everything else you need. even if it cant pass on the deformity, it still hurts.

It might be an interesting thing if this happened with F stat hatchlings. Then it'd only happen if purposefully done or if someone accidentally danced with the wrong partner. Maybe a side project if they ever wanted to add a little something else.
