i actually need like genuine proper advice (i rlly need sum help im soo confused)

i wanna become a athlete

(the thing is basically yeah i wanna get into the athlete life n all that shi im already consistently working hard for it
but i gotta major in smthin cuz then my parents will say smth like "our son only plays he doesnt study and shi "

gunna do smthin in uni in smthin like cybersecurity or maybe graphic design or smthin in tech
and idk im trynna aim for uni in Sweden germany netherlands or maybe denmark
and i gotta get a scholarship for them cuz it a lil expensive so these sports rugby and basketball which i play will help

ion know how to tho someone guide me through the uni part idk man

and my as lvl subs (i dont gotta take smthin heavy cuz then it will also interfere with my sports life and all that stuff because im trynna make it to competivte and onwards

my igcse were a lil ass ngl

(well the thing is tho everyday im putting in the work tho pretty consistent and dedicated to my craft basically the sports)

so just to get it straight, ur not gonna do IBs or Alevels or anything like that ur just applying to uni with ur IGCSE (which is not good)?

And you kinda need to give more info as in how good are you in sports in this case. Are you a national champion? like top 10 level or wut

If ur just ur school team it defininetly not gonna help then I would suggest you to try grinding some IB or Alevels

Also where do you live? Your residency and citizenship affect your application lol.

Some major you could definitely consider is something related to management espcially sports management/event management

Becomes useful in hosting local sports events/be coach in the unfortunate case that you don't get to go pro

This is absolutely true. I feel like a sports career is highly dependent on your country/ regions appreciation/ relation for/with sports in recreation. Becasue that would determine the competitiveness of its industry and urgency for more professionals in sport's sector.

For instance, in Qatar the country is highly dependent on toursim and its expats to boost its economy hence, the industry is really lucrative here; they've got alot of million dollar worthy sports facilities, stadiums, gyms, etc. The point is the more investments the country put into the industry, the more likely your pay will be high/ best and your job prospect's r reliable.

Anyways, my general advice is if this is truly your passion and ambition in life then i trust it will work out because u will anything and everything in ur power to stay on that track. However, if this is only a spur in the moment passion/hobby its worth considering other career choices. Get thinking on what other academic areas you like and/or normally excell in or are willing to put in the extra effort and hours to achieve more from it. Dont limit your mindset to one career path, be open-minded.

Its also worth keeping in mind that one can have hobbies but they dont essenciaklly have to turn into their profession!!

so yess ill be doing a levels lokwy changed my mind yes 10000% i will do as and a lvls

uhh dw abt the the "how good im at the sports" im getting there lokwy the national plays and playing at competitve level im starting with the base which is my school team
im gonna be doing two sports track and field and basketball
and yes the track and field one im doing it for a club

What I would say is to narrow down and focus on 1 sport, but I guess thats still a bit early. If you do wanna go pro and you live in dubai, I think it is your best interest to stay in dubai isntead of going to europe, unless you can figure out some deals of sorts with unis/teams there. If you're like national champs level in that sports you shouldn't worry about having shit grades, uni will still let yuou in with full scholarship lol
