Hello Y'all, I've given my boards in fm/25. Now as I'm into the final stage of schooling as everyone does, I'm a bit worried about which sector to choose to have a better future. Basically, my parents are putting an iota of pressure to be determined and select a sector to continue further. So, Im looking forward from everyone to suggest what would the future for 6-7 years. Moreover if I've to specify my interests, I'm a car freak and have an interest to select automobile sector. But on the other hand, all of my intentions are in IT side. So I would like if someone gives a basic overview of this.
#What is the future of jobs in the upcoming years ?

Most engineerings tbh
even if machines/AI take up the whole world, they will always need engineers to maintain and imrove them
mechanical, electrical, computer related things, civil/architecture, aerospace
are the sure/safe deals
electrical best major
Does computer science include in this list?
What about computer related automobile field?
Avoid computer science AND engineering
Unless if ur rlly smart and alr got stuff going on for them
In my uni, we usually have around 300-400 ppl in each department
But for computer its 1600 💀
i would say some branches of cs would completely disappear
Entry level jobs might be disappear . And SWE field is already saturated by bootcamp certificate holders and self learners. But still, it is a lucrative career , which provide remote jobs .
It also has highest percentage of drop-out rate , which mean it is a hard subj .
I believe it is more likely that AI will take a lot of digital works, forexample programming, web site dev and designers
on the other hand branches like informatics, machine learning and AI development fields, computer engineering(real world tech maintainance), cyber security,... would increase in demand, because just imagine all these technologies we have in the world and we will make have to be replacesd with the new era tech(eg quantum computers and AI based)
Exactly, I believe that no technology can replace high-experienced humans in any field
But looking at the situation of the world, sky-related, construction realted, raw material realted, and technology related fields are increasing demand
yet research fields are decreasing
Now 1 computer can do the work of 5 biology scientists in the lab forexample
I feel risky to purely persue CS as main major. Cuz i might end up not being able to find a job for a long time right after graduated . According to reddit , a lotnof people venting abt not being able to find an entry level job .
I dont wanna dual in majors , cuz CS alone is already hard enought to master.
Most people recommend me to combine CS +business , Cs+ finance . I dont wanna follow that way though.
that's bs, there are many jobs if you aren't bad
but I would say computer engineering or software engineering are even better
If oneday, AI take over all the jobs related to CS , 90% of jobs will also be replaced by AI . Ai might even take surgeons , if robostic field improved too much .
Plus, CS filed has highest possible demand rate(jobs grow rate) in the future , like 23% .
Isnt that SWE field already saturated ?
.
I finna go for cybersecurity or AI enginnering id say these are better n maybe u can too ig
i thought of goin in SWE but 😭 the condition doesnt look good and now that we got advancemnt in quantam chips so yeah and advancment in AI
cus im also taking CS in a lvls after my igcse ends 😭
so yuh
AI will never reach that extent
humans will soon realize the de-stabilizing effect of ai on the society and we will limit it
AI adapts and keeps on learning so it can reach that extent
look
50 years ago tens of designers had to sit around a huge paper and design buildings and machines
autoCAD came, photoshop came, but does it mean there are no more designers and architects now? clearly no
AI itself is a tool, and will even create more jobs for us
especially for our generation, because we have the job to replace everything by new technology, from the x-ray machines to the airplanes.
Yeah, 2 years ago chat gpt couldnt calculate math problem very well . But now , most add maths problems it has solved are very accurate . Who know how far it could go ?
fr
either way id say u can prolly go for AI enginnering or cybersecurity cus im also prolly goin in one of em i think theyd be perfect
Cus i also finna continue CS in as and a lvl rn i got cs for igcse
Also, shouldnt we could switch it all those field if we have a CS degree? Instead of speacialize in one field , instead of choosing cyber security or mechine learning etc as a main major , couldnt we go to all those field with just CS degree?
I think most uni lets us choose one field to specialized in the final year.
guys let's make clear somthing
the chatgpt and alexa you use and know, is totally different from AI we are referring to replacing jobs and doing research jobs
i think yuh prolly
but what do u wanna go for @plush shore
The term "cyber security " seems very cool to me .
ikr twin cus im also plannin for cybersecuirty or if not that then AI engineerring
but gotta get throu these igcse somehow😭
Yeah, even chat-gpt told me not to afraid about that .
Plus , i couldnt find a more suitable career to me rather than CS .
Do u recommend me to go for it without doubting?
Machine learning is also cool . It is the hardest in CS field , really math heavy , i dont have enought confident to choose that one .
yeah I mean the world is just about technology now
if you can find a uni that offers AI, it's better. Similar to normal CS but more useful
consider computer engineering also
Can i work in cyber security field with computer engineering degree?
wait btw have u given ur igcse
yeah
in the field yes, but not the actual cyber security you know
answer is more of NO
Will take CS +other subjs in this may june , and will take ICT in oct/nov .
ahh right
well i do got exams in may june too
Igcse or A level?
Why do you think taking CE is more profitable than CS?
Is this because it is more practical jobs. So will be less saturated field.
And most practical jobs cant be self studied , we cant learn how to embed a chip in a computer at home , so somehow i guess CE will be less saturated than CS .
Sameee ! But i am also panicking for the exam 😭😭.
fr i have started studyin but not locked in properly fr
tbh jus do what u have the passion for ig
and u find intresting
I have passion to any job that give me fame and money .
aight fair enough 😭
but ion think chem will be important for thi field right?
CS isn’t dying, it’s evolving! Saturated jobs fade, but new domains like AI, quantum, and cyber are exploding. It’s not about avoiding CS it’s about adapting within it
Just like Mahoraga
Yeah. At first , i dont know which field to choose before i started studying igcse , so to be safe , i take the subjs that could let me choose either engineering or cs .
aight
id recommend u check out thi website twin
al nafi courses
computer scientists arent coders , they are problem solvers with adaptive mindset 😼
Could u give me the link?
finna dm u is that ok?
Yes ,that is okay .
Yup, CS is more about solving problems with logic and creativity than just coding. It's all about building systems not just writing lines of code
It won't die that easily
because the world is going towards more and more consumption and industrilization, and all the technology and machines need maintainance
every technology needs servers, computers, satellites,...
no kind of technology exists without computers and machines
with cs you won't know shit about physical aspects, but with CE you'll learn about software twoo
U make a good point , i will deeply consider it when i go to college . I want to touch more grasses though , hope CE allow me to touch more grasses than CS .
avoid engineering??? what u on
yeah actually
because CE you learn more physics(electromagnetism forexample) and calculus too, not only computers
