should i take igcse, or simply take the curriculum but not do the exam?

igcse costs like 800DHS (around 210 USD) for each exam, and if i dont drop any of my current subjects its 5600DHS (around 1520 USD) total for 7 subjects. i might drop one or two subjects next year to lower this amount. is this price (with the dropped subjects) worth it for college applications? am i wasting my time?

and, btw, im looking to enter maybe physics, or mechanical or chemical engineering

or computer engineering as a last resort

listen u need to decide on what uni ur exactly going to and then decide to wheater drop the subjects or not , cuz some unis require miniumum of 7 subjects like myself i took 7 and it was good for me cuz i have a chnace to choose between different majors so i didnt limit myslef from a specific major yk what i mean , u can do some in m/j and some in o/n if the circumastance dont give u the chance to do them all in m/j
