I’m aware, but am I better off doing something like biology which is what I have in mind or cs
better off taking ig cs than taking ig bio
unless you want to keep options wide open
Thanks I’ll do cs😄🙏

What about if I want to do mechanical engineering?
Bump
for mechanical, you'd definitely want to take on maths, physics, chem
further maths if you can
i'd also take on design technology if you have the option
some reason some uk unis prefer this over chem (no idea why)
but you do learn a lot about materials and tools and stuff
You learn about the design process
yeah but chem more important for mech than dt lol
I agree, I was just saying that in DT you learn about something that is prevelant in engineering
I’m Alr doing this for igcse
I mean what igcse for mechanical engineering?
Cs or bio
Let me just list out my igcse subject
English
Literature
Math
Additional Math
Economics
Chemistry
Physics
CS or biology
For mechanical engineering am I better off with cs or bio
And apparently if I ever want to go into cs for uni all I need it math and additional math
So I think I should do bio to keep options open
i agree
but for unis your igcse subjects dont matter as much
they're more concerned about a level subjects and you meeting grade requirements
True but I’m going to a us highschool and uni after igcses so
oh so you're skipping a levels
