Hihii, I'm going to take my as levels this year and most likely A lvls next year inshallah and I wanted to compile all the universities that I'm thinking of applying to. I live in South Africa and want to apply to US unis. I wasn't going to bother applying to MIT because I saw you that have to have participated in a lot of maths/science Olympiads (is it participated or win?) to even remotely be a competitive applicant and I haven't done smth like that but I realized that I havd participated for 6 years in an annual robotics Olympiads hosted here, I won only twice, the 1st year and the 6th year. But I do have certificates for participation and positions for some of the other years. Is this competitive enough to apply to MIT or should I not bother? And how does one even apply to mit?
Other things I should prob note:
I did not take igcse
I'm homeschooled so I'm not sure how easy it will be to get academic transcripts for high-school
