u cant do A levels there or what
im pretty sure the only options u have is to do the singaporean a levels / equivalent gr12 qualifications/ or maybe a foundation year at a uni
a levels are very rare here
most of the good schools don't have als
mainly ibdp for international schools
and ofc locals schools are option too but alot of competition
int schools are more laid back
You can enroll in IB, JC (basically singapore A level) or poly
Thays rhe most common courses
Tho il warn you JC is much much harder then UK A levels
JC (sg a levels) is much harder than international a levels because it's their own syllabus
i think you can look on the singapore moe website for more information
what curriculum do local schools follow
?
i heard you need rlly good grades for JC
what grades are we talking about? In terms of our IGCSEs plz
link plz, they have this some L1R5 thing idk about
I'm not really sure - Ive been here for only a year and planning to stay in international schools - but I'm guessing for 11tb and 12tb it's JC which is like harder a levels and depends on your grade in igcse/ols
local I think lesser but internationals are expensive - 25k ish and upwards
and col is ofc a lot more cause of the qol being better than most countries
Everything that everyone else here has said checks out to me at first glance.
Perhaps you've already discussed this with your parents, but certain expats have their children's tuition covered by the company. I'm in an intl' school in Singapore and that's the case for many of us here.
Check with your parents if their business agreement includes such a thing.
You should also seek out the AEIS (https://www.moe.gov.sg/international-students/aeis)
Although it seems like it's too late for you to go through that path?
This year's AEIS apps are already closed, unfortunately
too expensive
something cheap, affordable and has good edu
local school should work right?
yes
but
very competitive
like I mean alot
if you had the money for int if I were you I would go int
and it's not only the school fees
just generally living in Singapore
is very expensive
yeah true
my dad alr lives there
so we know abt the poace soo not a big issue
only the edu system im unfamiliar with
specifically jc and shi
The AEIS I sent is required if you want to enter the local system
ill look into it, thanks a ton!
