#How hard is A level Bio and Chem? The content doesn't seem hard, but it seems long

AS level math is very similar to IGCSE, you won't have much trouble adapting to it
AS chemistry is definitely tricky, but with practice, you'll imrove
And remember, this is just my opinion, but personally, AS biology is horrendous
The syllabus is far too large and it goes into meticulous detail
- It doesn't help that the marking schemes are horrible
Are they very specific or smth?
But I'd like to give a fair warning: I suck at biology
Very
I dont wanna act proud or like idk like Im the greatest at bio, but Ive been able to do it much better compared to my other subjects
Then go for it
There is no 1 true answer that goes for everyone
I'd recommend for you to take them, and see what fits you best
The only reason I wanna opt for these a levels instead of phy, cs and maths is bc a) I wanna take smth related to med and b) I just like bio and chem more
I mean ig no a level is easy if you dont practice/study but some people make it sound like theyre gonna be the hardest subjects
It’s definitely doable
But I messed up in the end
I got A* for both igcses bio and chem and I managed to consistently get 90% and higher in all interim assessments at school
And I even studied for 10+ hours for 2 months leading up to exam and still managed to mess up in the end
I was consistent throughout but you never know what may happen during exams
This year the jump in difficulty in the final exam was too much and I couldn’t keep up
I think if you’re consistent and don’t overdo it like I did you’ll probably be fine. I don’t know what happened with me maybe I was breaking down inside 😭
I never felt the extreme difficult of my subjects like my seniors said right up until the final exam
