anywya continuously explaining a topic to someone whos never done that subject is useful
i explained a lot of a2 physics to my mom so i found it easy to recall things over and over

To use active recall you can actually do it a number of ways. The term ''active recall'' refers to the ability to see how much you've understood from a topic(s) you've recently learnt. Ways of doing active recall after say a topic ask as many questions as possible on the topic without referring to you notes (otherwise their is no point of doing it) the key-thing to note is don't expect to recall the information 100% upon initially doing it, keeping consistency is key.
Past paper questions is another way of doing active recall, flash cards and there are many other ways. If you want additional information on how to use it/ the other ways i'd recommend checking out dr. christina's video on it. Remember consistency is key.
