yes of course
for most subjects in ALvls you are going to need the knowledge from igcse
you could technically do them without taking their igcse counterparts but it's just gonna make it harder for u
yes they very much do
especially for maths, sciences, accounting, languages
obviously there are subjects that can be done without having studied it in igcse
But am i bound?
Ooo so i am not
you're not restricted to only taking the a level subjects that you studied in igcse
however quite a few subjects do require the igcse counterpart as i listed above
I see. That clears my doubts.
I don't get what counterpart means here
meaning taking it in igcse
Oo
Oo I see. Isnt there igcse in oct nov?
Clearing my doubts
yes there is igcse in oct/nov
i sat my igcses in o/n
Which year may i know
Thanks for lmk

So you are doing alevels now
yes i'm in my AS
what igcse subjects are you taking?
Math, Eng first lang, comb science, economics, accounting, ICT. May change.
Need to lock in for 6 months
But i want to major in cse. Since I have less time I chose the subjects I can cover. I plan to study cse related subjects for a levels.
cse as in comp sci engineering?
or is it something else
Yes computer science eng
you need pure physics
for that
combined science is nowhere near enough
yes
you may be able to
yeah minimum C
Okay
I will pick physics
I plan to move countries after igcse to do a levels
In uk lol probably
And btw the syllabuses seem so messy. I just need to study whats written right? The questions will come from them.
yeah you study everything in the syllabus
they can only test you about the syllabus
nothing more
