I am going to take IBDP this year in august and I want to go into the space industry/space science.
Subjects that im thinking of taking are:
Physics HL
Maths AA HL
Comp Sci HL
Environmental Studies SL
First Language
Second Language
What I wanted to know was:
Should I swap Chemistry HL for CS HL? I took CS because I think Chemistry is harder than CS and I have some knowledge of programming already. I get pretty good grades in chemistry though, but it will be really hard for me and I wont be able to manage it. Also some people are saying that CS is dead due to AI and universities wont even see whether you have taken CS or not in IB even if you want to study it later on; basically you dont even CS to be a computer scientist.
Should I take Maths AI instead of AA? In igcse I am taking extended maths so maths AA will be really tough for me but my tutor only knows Maths AA and many of my friends are going for AA.
Should I take psychology instead of ESS? I have some BG knowledge for ESS already but I think psychology will be more beneficial if I wanna go into space science right? Also in psychology we get to choose what option we want so I can choose a space option...?
Also can anyone tell what to do to get extra credit to get accepted into space science programs? Like if you want to into medicine you will DM hospitals and ask if you can volunteer, but for space science what do i do?
why does everyone always think of Harvard when they think of top uni
