#JEE and As levels
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i have to do jee and im in igcse i have 9 papers left
swtiching boards would be difficult for me more like i dont want to
if you want to write JEE and clear it with a good rank etc, it's best you switch to CBSE
my point
so can i jee and AS like it help AS anyways but are the type of questions same
no i mean
CBSE/NCERT will assist you with JEE
because JEE starts with NCERT syllabus
but there's not much overlap between NCERT & AS Level
so if you take AS Level, JEE will be hard
@jaunty pecan
yea
not really
CBSE is actually easier
yeah, the competitive exams are wayyy harder and regardless need addtional coaching en stuff coz with CBSE alone; you can't clear those as as they are really hard (am talking abt JEE in this case)
ofc bro but if u prepare well for JEE, A levels will be cleared right
since the type of questions will only differ
so u can pick like 5 subjects in AS and A lvls and get additional coaching for JEE, that would fr work
exactly that's what am trying to do
but 5 subjects ๐ a lot
Or else you can switch to a good CBSE school like one which has specialized JEE coaching that also works
I'm picking 5 next year
along with JEE?
Some ppl in my school are even picking 6 or 7 ig so yeah ull be alright
nah nah am not doing JEE
not interested in CBSE (i dont want to degrade)
but my friend is
yeye I get it
it's hard to handle 5
and maths has 4 papers itself ๐
even i dont want to degrade but its only 2 years so who cares
2 valueble years of the life
oh well im doing dummy school so doesnt really matter to me
integrated
cuz cbse classrooms are also shit from what ive heard
gona be blunt, u cant get a good rank in JEE if u choose AS level
I am also doing jee (dummy school)
Igcse maths is cbse's 9th grade math tbh
which coaching are u joining?
im gonna do neet but im joining unacademy
unacadmy?
yeah lmao
aakash seemed like a scam
doesn't it have a very mid reputation
they are even worse
in my city its the best
oh
yeah, same to you
I recommend u look at the topics on JEE and compare them to As/ A levels. Doing that will give you a clear answer if its a bad decision.
hmm
i did tht
60-70% of the portion is matching
just the 30% are hard topics in maths
regular as/al math or further math?
regular
mhm i see maybe doing further math will help with the other percentage
my school doesnt have futher ๐
...
My suggestion is either get a math tutor to compensate for that percentage or self study further math. I strongly recommend the first option.
๐ that's what am looking for
gl
thanks ๐ญ ik it sounds bad doing jee and AS but in my school there is this topper who did both
and he scored well in both
93.00 in A levels and 96 ig in jee
๐ that's what am trying to achieve
np ๐ญ
Gave +1 Rep to local_npc15 (253)
๐
its matching but the logic level of jee is also much hadder
how the questions designed
just check out a jee foundation book
or rd sharma
u will see
he must have studied more for jee
Its possible I mean
but just studying a levels wont let u get a good rank in jee
I would recommend joining a coaching atleast
yea i'll be doing tht fs
bro trust me
switch to a CBSE school
A levels will NOT help for JEE or any indian comp exam at allll
and i agree that the CBSE 12th exams are easier than A level exams but the thing is colleges here dont even know the difference
an A* is A level is much harder to get than a 90 in CBSE
and colleges here dont recognise that difficulty difference at all
pleasee for ur own sanity switch to a CBSE school
frfr ong
ok bro
JEE/NEET or any comp exam is built around NCERT so cbse is your best bet
who sir
but can i do bkth side by side
both*
you CAN
but its very very very difficult
a lvls or jee?
both
yeah
thz
if you learn th method or the concept it's ez
only maths would be hard
the only thing difficult is that the type of questions asked would be different
