Hello, I'm currently a Secondary 2 student who will take IGCSE courses in Secondary 3. Is it a good choice to drop Physics in IGCSE to pursue my career in the medical field. I will be taking only Biology and Chemistry for sciences and replace Physics with Psychology. Or should i take Physics during IGCSE so that I can have a holistic knowledge base, and reconsider it. So I can be sure whether I should drop it or not in my A Levels. 😄

I'm currently in an international school, aspiring to attend the best medical school in my country (Thailand) for worst case. I am not so sure with the requirements but if my grades are really good I might consider joining Caltech.

See IGCSE Physics ik how it, maybe bro take physics for this yr and quit it next yr cuz this is the fundamentals you should know, if ur in India then trust me Physics is a must for medical field. Hmmm if your grades are low, then take core maybe or have a rage to study for this 2 year and quit it next year,
bro in 9th i could only score 75% as a max now in 10th i got 89% just with regular studying, it's not tht i hate physics some physics is so confusing for me.
So i best recommend you to study this 2 years with full rage like what am doing in Biology(I didnt want to take bio cuz of some base knowledge i had to) then you might even score good marks,
IF you find physics hard to understand then take some other as per your wish

Uhh check the requirements in your dream university

#

Because my university asked for physics to be taken in IGCSE level

#

And in A levels they required me to either take maths or physics (I had to take physics cuz my math skills trash asf)

#

I also checked the course structure in 3 medical schools in my country

#

In 1st/2nd year they'll teach us about the machines and stuff so they expect us to have basic physics & ict knowledge

#

So

Tldr : You should take physics in IGCSEs, it'll be useful later when you actually start medicine, or if it's a requirement for Alevels in your uni
