#Is maths and phy enough in A level for a career in aerodynamics/astronomy?

Yes, most universities require at least 3 subjects, some will prefer 4 but 3 is the minimum
If you want to go for astronomy I would highly recommend further maths
If your school offers it that is, it would definitely help in astronomy, I’m not sure what you mean by ‘aerodynamics’ but if you mean anything in engineering it’ll definitely help there too
That's a really great choice of subjects to take space related or even engineer related colleges, the last subject or third one should be decided based upon the university you want to apply in, look through the sets of subjects you need to get in and be inspired by that
Aerodynamics is the study of the motion of air, particularly when affected by a solid object, such as an airplane wing. Basically like planes and machines that fly
idk about unis man and honestly atm idc
I know what aerodynamics is, I wasn’t aware that you could pursue a degree in it though, I just thought it would be part of engineering/physics not its own thing
You’re kinda going to have to care, if your uni needs specific subjects then you won’t be able to attend if you don’t have them
For astronomy/aerodynamics in general the best combo would be Maths, Physics, FM - especially in astronomy where you’ll have a lot of really complex math, FM will help a lot
idk myself too the answer for that question 😂
Lmaoo dw
hmmmm
i study privately. ill ask my teacher if he teaches fm
Yeah that’s a good idea
FM will also definitely help with uni admissions
Especially in math dependent fields I believe unis would rather take a student with a better math background
Dependant*
Nope, I wanted to
But it was too late in the year and my teacher said I can’t just do AS, I’d have to do A2 as well
School doesn’t offer it so it would’ve been as a priv candidate, but still wouldn’t have been able to due to time constraints
