Hey guys, I've recently given my Cambridge O level exams in May/June this year. I want to study Business and Economics for my AS level exams. I want to give my AS exams in Oct/Nov of this year. Is it possible to finish the AS syllabus of Economics and Business in the few days of July, August and September, maybe a few days in Oct and then sit for the exams? Would it affect my grades badly if I give it in Oct/Nov of this year? My business teacher told it's not gonna be wise to give the exams in Oct/Nov of this year. So I'd really like some advice on this, preferably from someone who has finished studying or is currently studying AS level Business and/or Economics.
#Is it possible or impossible?

It's not impossible to do it if you've studied business and economics before but why would you want to do this?
It's so mcuh work within such a short span of time
Yeah I have studied Economics and Business for my O levels
It's because of applying for higher studies later on, but a bit quicker. Cuz A levels is 2 years and it would take a long time.
That's what I'm asking, is it gonna be really tough?
I mean unless you have some personal reason to not do so, 2 years is a perfectly normal time to do A levels.
Almost everyone does it either for 2 years or a bit longer than that.
I see, I get what you mean
Right. So doing it in 3 months would prolly affect my grades, right?
Well if you're comparing doing AS levels in 3 months vs an year, it would so probably.
Theoretically, if you study for like 3 hours a day each subject, you will get 360 hours which is double of what the guided learning hours is.
But I've heard econ is pretty hard
Oh and I also want to take English language tbh. So if I decide take Business, Econ and English and give my AS exams in May/June 2024, am I good to go?
Yeah, I've heard too
I don't really take business or economics ALs so its better to ask in the channel but generally speaking for any A level, three months is not an ideal time.
Yep that's what people generally do.
Hmm I see, okay. Tbh I asked and most ppl don't think it's a wise decision about giving the exams in Oct/Nov this year.
Yeah I don't think so either but if you have a really good reason, it's not impossible to do it.
I get what you mean, thank you for responding
