#What jobs do IT and CS subjects offer?
13 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Have u finished igcse? If so, did u take both for ig?
But to answer ur question, CS is more about creating computer programs eg coding and IT is about troubleshooting the computer itself. Hardware stuff in general
I like to think of cs ppl making the program and IT ppl making use of the program. Idk if that makes sense
Thanks guys! And also @dire narwhal to answer your question, I only took ICT in IGCSE. Do I have to take CS then to conduct CS?

Nope. But make sure u hv technology subjects during ur college course
Just asking cuz u can already tell the difference between those 2 during ur IGCSE CS course
Oh ok. And technology course? Can u explain more about that bro. Cuz I want to explore all tbe opportunities
Sheesh nice
Sorry by technology course, I mean any subjects that is computer related, depending on what u study after IGCSE. What are u studying after ig? For eg, a college course offered in my country has sth called introduction to computing. You're gonna wanna take that if there's no other subjects called 'computer science'
Oh and rmb to take maths
I took CS in IGCSE and I recommend taking it if you play on entering the tech field in the future. ICT is a filler subject for those who just want to learn how to use certain application software and the most basics on coding. CS involves understanding how a computer works from hardware to software and there's a dive into the depths of coding. Definitely recommend CS if tech is what u wanna do in the future.
