thinking about how every time I go to the wasteland lobby, there's a musician there that everyone flocks to even though they don't actually sound good they're just playing fast. Half the time I can't even tell what song they're playing.

Cozy fun story of the day: I randomly met two people in the dye workshop. I noticed they had on the same pants and cape, and so I matched them. Then we had a little party together at the model podium think that spins. It was so funny and really was a nice time. It is the little things that are the best to treasure. I had someone do this to me at the 8 player puzzle in prairie... Which is the most difficult place to avoid people in because I couldn't just run away and abandon everyone trying to open the door. Thankfully I managed to get my wax and get out of there without lighting them.

ACCIDENTAL LIGHTING SHOULD BE REMOVED. both players should have to tap/click the prompt in order to light each other. people will abuse accidental lighting like crazy, and it's a breach of consent. not to mention that people will hinder other players as well in situations where you need to light something in order to progress. if both players have to press/click the candle prompt and not the simple "light" prompt, then it would cultivate the feeling of respect and community you want in the game. without mutual consent, you get animosity from those who do not want to be lit and those who harass others to light them.
I will be submitting this often, please seriously consider the change, or otherwise provide an explanation as to why you won't or can't.

my two cents on the MOTD reactions: from my perspective it's about making sure TGC doesn't think the playerbase has forgotten and that the issue is over. it's not about "hey, fix this over everything else", it's "we're not forgetting anytime soon, and we don't want you to think we've forgotten" - because it caused such a negative impact on the playerbase in a recent enough time and (though i feel this isn't considered as much by the playerbase) is a removal of an accessibility feature - what was added in as its supposed replacement is honestly quite poor compared to what MOTD provided, at least in the observation from yesterday and today. and while i'm not the one contributing to the MOTD reactions (and I have sent in my feedback on the matter), i can see why they're being done.

oh, i'm pretty sure people have! i've heard of it being sent in as feedback before (and i'm honestly frankly debating sending in feedback on a more regular basis about that). but with MOTD in particular it's the removal of accesibility in a game lacking in accessibility to begin with that (to me and to other people I have talked with elsewhere) brings a very sore spot to those of us that really did rely on it MOTD for various reasons.

As someone who is part of Sky's disabled playerbase, someone who's got quite the busy life while still wanting to enjoy the game and someone who also has to be a part-carer for another who is also disabled: I would rather have a game be more accessible even if it meant areas might be slower than have accessibility be taken away just because it improves speeds.

(And before internet speeds are brought up I am also living with bad wifi. i understand the wifi issue.)

The game performance is more important, not everyone have the up to date bandwidth nor devices, so tgc is taking care of them. Not just simply text on a screen.

I don't understand why you'd call it accessibility feature when other accessibility replacements exist. You note down the event, season duration somewhere else. Motd only shows seasons not events where the dates vary by a LOT.

There are more important accessibility feature you can ask for. Such as flashing and reducing unnecessary sounds in game. Why over a simple text people make a mountain out of a molehill?

• People who only play the game and do not follow the socials

• People who just may not be as active and can only be on at shorter times in the day
• People who are newer and may not understand how the systems work
• The fact that, while the constellations are present, not always will it come to people's minds to check them for whatever reason
• The fact that season shops (nor the message board at a glance) do not tell you when a season is about to start (this one i'm also emphasising), which also hinders those who want to take part in seasons but do not know how the schedule operates yet

And probably other things that are not coming to mind at this hour for me. What is just a simple countdown text or reminder message to you is a thing to rely on for other people who have different struggles to you.

the News section in the game menu is an in-game tool that was recently introduced. i can navigate to the news article about the season of lightmending, where it tells me that the season will end on march 27th.

we do have in-game tools that help fill the gap created by the removal of the message of the day.

Also, there's a trick to the torch. You can use it to burn buns and it's more powerful as a burner than red candles.

Unfortunately, unlike the red candle where your skid leans down to burn stuff, your skid will stay in position unless they're looking at somebody or something

So, the trick:
short kids - Run with the torch to burn orbs beside you
Tall kids - Do a slow walk to burn orbs

I think it's because there's so little achievement oriented quests in game. I keep preaching how cool it would be if we would have cosmetics that you unlock when you achieve certain goals. Like " go to Eden 10 times" it just gives you something to do. Also more social achievements like make some friends or unlock the friendship tree to a certain point with someone because there's a decline in people actually socializing in game. They are all rushed and burned out and have no time to even chat a little or understand the mechanics

Yeah that makes sense. I think I'm probably just gonna skip Days of Triumph after today. Crab race was cute though. I keep busy enough with Lightmending and I like Days of Love. I guess I don't need all these goals in the game. I've played for almost a year and I still have fun just looking around, casually gathering candles here and there, picking up a new cosmetic or emote here and there, talk to friends, practice and instrument, redecorate the nest, etc. I love the Events where you can just vibe in the area (like Days of Sunlight and Days of Moonlight). Honestly sometimes I just like fly around in the clouds outside Aviary Village just to chill out. For me, the basic game is so beautiful I don't need all the motivation.

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that Days of Triumph is there for players who like that kind of thing. Being competitive is just such a different mindset from me that I don't understand it.

Some people just have more of a natural competitive drive than others. Personally, I’m glad that all the fun unique Triumph mini-games are returning, and that they’re adding new ones too. Plus, the team capes are now actual capes instead of just spells, which I’ve been longing for since last Triumph. And now you can wear any team’s cape, instead of just the team you ended up choosing! Maybe someday the spell-induced medals can become permanent cosmetics, too.

Also also! Another snowboard! People who missed the one from Feast won’t have to wait another 11 months to try to get it again! And it’s so gorgeous too.
