My school teachers in K-12 always suspected I had autism, but I was only officially diagnosed a few years ago (also my therapist gave me an IQ test at the same time and I got 136 as a result lol).

the thing that makes ai art not art is the fact that none of the ai "artist" 's actual effort and creativity, no trace of their own unique style and not even an ounce of their personal worldview and emotions goes into the art — it's made by an ai who doesn't even have the capability to truly understand what it's doing and simply takes bits and pieces from the samples of other people's artworks that it has been fed and mish-mashes them to create a "new" art piece that roughly matches the prompter's description.

YOU on the other hand, are taking the time and effort to think up an idea, figure out how you wanna make it look, draw it out and then refine its look to make smth solid out of the more or less abstract idea that you had in your mind, and then painstakingly work out details, coloring, shading and so much more. Your effort is there, your ideas and creativity are there, and your own unique style and view are there as well. That artwork is truly YOURS. the digital tools are being used as just that — tools to facilitate you in the process. anyone calling that the same as ai art would be like saying that a blacksmith who painstakingly makes a sword but employs anvils, hammers and moulds to help him in the process is the same as someone working in a factory who's job is to feed metal into a machine that then just spits whatever object it's designed to make.

i would count ai art as art
but a new kinda art and it's def not in drawing department coz you are not actually using a tool with your own hands and draw it yourself
but being able to express and use ai correctly to get exactly what you want if you already have an image of it in your head is kind of art on its own but art in a writing department

and yes many ppl who use ai just half a it and are lazily just taking whatever ai gives em as long as it looks good at a glance but there are also ppl who just half a and make a bad drawing by picking up a pencil

the same way i believe that there are true ai artists out there who also put effort, time and feelings in their ai art that also should be accepted as a new kind of art and not judged by those who don't

On top of that a lot of em actually use ai to DIRECTLY steal other artists' art by downloading it and running it through ai to change it slightly so that they can claim it as a different artwork and try to actually SELL that stolen art for money or use it to promote other ai generated "products" of theirs so they can sell those (which is still wrong cuz those are also not made hy them and often fakes or stolen).

I am an artist. I refuse to use AI tools. These two things are not the same. AI creation is a distortion, a perversion of the artistic process, which is, essentially, an extension of the individual. When I make art, it is, in a way, me. I made it with the blood and sweat of my inner world; a world that no other human understands, let alone AI.

Using AI Art is missing then entire point of art in the first place. It's about being an individual. It's about creation of your personal soul. It's about expressing who you are. AI can't possible know who you are, and therefore cannot create what you would.

AI is just another layer to bury our true selves underneath, making it harder and harder to really know who we are.

The issue with AI art as a whole is that the “ideas” prompted aren’t original. It steals from artists, writers, musicians and etc. I had multiple art mutuals coming out to make announcements that they do not condone AI, nor the idea of people putting their hard work into a machine.

Besides that, I find it insulting to that someone thinks my creativity needs to be “fixed” by a machine

What makes art itself to be beautiful isn’t the masterpieces we see in museums or on social media. But it’s the fact people are willing to take months, years and even their whole life to devote to a work.

As a traditional artist: digital is absolutely real art! They’re different mediums which affects which techniques and effects are difficult or even which are possible, but the same is true for, like, acrylic and watercolour.

In my perspective, we can’t stop AI from existing but there are many alternates for us to choose from.

If you want your art idea to come alive but can’t draw for whatever reason, you can choose to commission artists based on the budget you have. Or you could pick up a pencil/stylus to learn if you prefer not spending money.

Before I celebrate having played around with the quiz and getting me a nicer type, lol, I want to note that AI as-is is technically not an intellegence in the traditional sense of the word and instead is a complicated data processor (think glorfied calculator to oversimplify it). What people are worried about taking over the world is AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) which would be a artificial system that actually has the abilities of a human mind (this has not happened, and instead there has been lots of environmental waste to make it happen, lol). Back to game stuff, I discovered that, yes, changing that single answer I was bouncing between changed the entire type it would give me. I still didn't like that one and went for something else nicer. I desire to be among adorable ones that represent how I desire to be viewed and view myself. 😉

Eh, my first result was ENTP, but I changed 1 answer and then got ESTJ, lol. Then I decided to try for exact types, such as INFP, ENFP, and settled on ESFJ because I thought the umbrella and caring for peeps looked way cooler. Plus, I do take care of a lot of people (but I digress that every time does so for those they love and care for, not merely feelers, lol). Those INFPs just looked so darn friendly, ya know? And those who I've met who identify as ENFP have such a zest for life. Music is an art, so there isn't one way to make it some people have the ability to simply come up with a tune on the spot. Music theory is probably an important thing to learn imo. While I'm no composer, I envision music, characters, and themes through shapes and colors like jagged edges and waves

for example, D is yellow, D sharp is red, and E is brown

The super fun thing for that with me is that changing the pitch of songs, even by one note, makes it feel absolutely different. Because now it feels green instead of orange, or pastel pink instead of light blue

Synthesia is involuntary and consistent like the letter B may be associated with green for some reason (example)
I simply make up concepts to explain and perceive them better it's a bit tricky to explain but it's voluntary for me!
