latest one was at crab fields, i didnt have a brazier on me, as i was planning to try and ball, getting a shield clip first try (whilst doing the face the dark dragon daily, this is about the other one), so i had the shield. i jumped off the ship and (i forget exactly why) had to chase the krill, so i had much less charges than i wanted (2 after overflying and getting locked by the krill). i dumped a charge early thinking it was about to charge as i made an error in timing calculation due to it having been a while since i last did my tried and trusted method …and then my rockhead brain doubled down on the error and dumped the last charge, and then the krill charged about a second later

i lost 5-7 wl iirc

anyway im gonna say one last thing before returning to lurk mode and disappearing into my gremlin cave (due to repeatedly getting very close to mentioning military stuff): i learned the other day that my other phone (moto z2 on android 9) is now unable to update [the good] games that i like to play because they require higher than android 10, which was followed very (sorta) quickly by the discovery that my moto z2 is unsupported… meaning i cant even software update to fix the issue. options i have pretty much are as follows: 1, [find a way to] move all the files onto a micro sd card. 2, download/update the games on my tablet (also on android but absolutely SUCKS compared to the phone). and 3, buy a new android phone (out of price range for a while and probable useless ai taking up room, etc).

sorry for going off topic as my last thing but i just wanted to give an update on my device annoyances/life. i hope you have a good night (or day for the other timezone ppls), and i now return to the shadows

After enough visits to a spot, people will start to memorize the Spirit locations and what they can see from that place. Spirits that are in a semi-enclosed space are easier to narrow down, since what you can see of the surrounding environment be limited, and thus what is visible is more noticeable.

For this specific TS, I figured out that it's Respectful Pianist through process of elimination as well as my own memories. (I'm sorry for the incoming text walls )
There's a Krill spotlight. That means at least one Krill has to patrol along a path that is visible from that location. There is one Krill in the Forgotten Ark, but it's far off out in the cloud sea, and does not come anywhere near any of the Enchantment Spirits' locations. That rules out Enchantment. Crab Whisperer is the only (not Forgotten Ark) shipwreck Seasonal Spirit, and there is a Krill there. But due to their location, if it was them, there would be a very large pixelated shape taking up the left of the picture, and mostly empty sky on the right, and there is not. So that rules out Crab Whisperer.

The sky is visible at the top of the picture. It's pea soup green, which rules out Treasure Reef and the Abyss Spirits, since the sky there is a normal, healthy blue. The zones of Wasteland where you can see the sky are the Graveyard, the Forgotten Ark shipwreck, the not Forgotten Ark shipwreck, the zone after falling down the vortex, and the Battlefield. There are no Seasonal Spirits in the landing zone or the Battlefield, so it can't be there, and the Ark, Treasure Reef, and the shipwreck have already been ruled out. Which leaves the Graveyard.

There are 3 Seasonal Spirits in the Graveyard, but the sky is not visible inside the broken temple portion with the first Krill and the Manta, so it can't be Saluting Protector, the Gratitude Spirit. That leaves Pleaful Parent and Respectful Pianist.

Pleaful is sheltered against the cliff, so a photo from their location would show the cliff to their left, and probably a smidgen of the crab bonfire to their right. Instead it's generally clear except for 2 rock formations on the left and right. Leaving me with Respectful Pianist as the only option.

I play on Switch, so idk how useful this could be, but I'll share anyways. My strategy is typically to fly up to the Ascetic Monk's mountain, using the light mushrooms along the footpath to keep my cape wedges filled, then take off from there and stay within (or at least as close as possible) to the clouds to ensure I'm always recharging.
If you stall out and have trouble getting height, the windwalls can actually be helpful instead of a nuisance. Since they launch you away if you get close, you must fly into them while in gliding mode, and it will ricochet you backwards and a little upwards, giving you a speed boost to help you keep going.
I hope this can help you for any future collections of that mountaintop WL.

also im kinda upsetti spaghetti that TGC declared the tent tele a bug and outlawed it, it made my wl runs in peaks shorter and genuinely more enjoyable with the waterfall tele someone had

Just had a really good time with a long time close friend who only started playing relatively recently. I lead them through dailies explaining how the ticket and seasonal candle systems worked and just yapping, and then we jammed out with instruments which was super rad!

I often have complaints about the game, namely that old spirits don’t return nearly often enough, though group visits have definitely helped, but it’s nice to have something purely positive to say. I just wanted to share :)

i dont know, i was just socializing and being friendly in prairie and we were having fun ! the way they reacted when i didnt want to follow then just set me off kinda weird i guess, like they got a bit pouty,, it seemed like they got upset when i didnt want to advance areas, they werent a moth by any means and i felt a bit bad, but i just wanted to relax so i dont know

one time, a red shard landed right on top of the portal that takes you to the memory, i tried having my friend drag me into the shard and i saw that the portal was there but couldnt teleport 😭 shards are always bugging out for me for some reason

Honestly, I understand being anxious. I'm introverted and autistic. Meeting new people can be nice, but I get anxious a lot because it's hard for me to get a read on who people are.
