even just the operating system would play a role I think, since Proton does add some overhead compared to natively running the game as normal on Windows.
(and then that has potentially extra overhead from the Wayland to X11 video bridge if you're on Linux using Wayland)

One thing Sky does need is Vulkan support - that, and AVX2 support on the CPU.

so something like a second generation i3, or an AMD FX or Opteron CPU, would be the worst possible that'd have the right instruction set.

Radeon HD 7000 can also use Vulkan, so that might be one of the worst GPUs that can run it? Either that or an Intel iGPU.
(The Ryzen 7000-series iGPUs are also terrible too, but those can't be put onto an older CPU)

i'm disappointed about how i flew in sky today
I kept banging on walls, or not taking off efficiently, or getting shoved by wind barriers, or just being clumsy in general

normally I'd be able to glide through needle-holes and zoom with absolute pinpoint precision, but now...

It's kinda like when you suddenly can't play a piano piece anymore. one day, you just open the lid, ready your fingers, and everything just comes out... wrong.

I'm really concerned as well-- I loved this game because I could fly around with extreme accuracy, soaring through the buildings and caves like an expert pilot-- in fact, that was the thing keeping me sane during candle runs.

But-- given that I've already talked about this, with it all being just like piano-- I'm worried I'll never be able to soar in such a way again.

There's one thing I failed to mention earlier: whenever I fail a piano piece, it's just like starting all over again. Slow practice, Finger drills, etc. And you never re-achieve your previous glory.

And thus would happen to sky as well...

You don't need to jump yo screen tablets straight away, I start with the non screen tablets bc those are cheap, and over time you'll get used to it with muscle memory and learn the basics there.

Once you're ready to upgrade then screen tablet upgrade is a way to go (though in fact I haven't upgraded either, I just work well with these simple tablets)

Honestly, it’s not too hard to get used to drawing on a regular drawing tablet. Takes a while to get used to so just start off with some doodles to get used to it

It’s like a mouse except you’re drawing on paper. Actually I dont think I’m describing this right. It’s certainly a different experience from drawing on a screen tablet or an ipad.

Plus it's easier to see what you're doing bc most of time your hand / arm will block a portion of the screen

There’s good free drawing apps on PC. I reccomend either Krita (bit complivated but idk it didnt click with me) or Medibang/Fire Alpaca (they’re identical)

• If you had your own season, what name would the season be? And what's it's theme?

Season of pages - An event that takes place in Vault. A book/scroll falls from one of the shelves and opening it gives u a three pages that you must choose from, there are missing parts of the story, each page taking you to a different realm as you try to find the missing piece of the story that you must complete. at the end of the event, you get a book prop and you can relive the page quests all over again as well as a cape with the look of a scroll.

Season of Stars- new mechanic starts with the reorganization of the Friendship tree for spirits and the theme is going around and granting wishes. In return at the end of the season you get one season item you wouldn't normally get and a blessing that is either krill repellent, a perminant tallest or shortest height spell, or some other thing that fits with the theme of granting wishes.

season of discovery, introducing a new sub-area to golden wasteland. this area is a mass of tunnels with opening and closing passages depending on the time of day, there are secrets deep beneath the sand, it's time to go digging for ancient relics

Some varied quest ideas for season of Stars:
Granting requests for the creatures in each realm. Taking a spirit to an area they may want to see, ability to access one past season ult if you have the season pass/finish the season

Season of companionship - you run into an injured critter and take it to the season guide that’s also caring for other animals. They instruct you to go to other realms to give care to young critters in need and letting them become a follower/nest companion/etc in your travels (think of like that one bird in the wind paths) The last quest involves you helping an injured krill/dark dragon. Ultimate gift could be something that makes it take thrice as long for a krill to start its lunge at you when discovered.

Also out of season way to get hearts, you can complete all the season quests for a heart once every week (I would say day but I doubt they'd do that)

Season of Connect
Seven spirit has scattered through the realms, but something has called one to each other. Something hiding between these spirits. You help them unveils the call, memories and get them together until anything connect into one big reveal that they are the guardian before the darkness separate them all.
I eventually have a name for these spirits:
Excitement Leader, Creativity Lefty, Manipulative Suncatcher, Manatee Caretaker, Harmonic Whisperer, Aced Skater, Skillful Chef
Each spirit represents each realm, including Eden

Idk what am I doing and what am I saying, but that's all on my mind

Honestly my season isn't all that special:

Season of Farming:
There's a lot of open fields in Sky so I chose Prairie to have this event take place in (the one outside the hub)

Grandpa spirit takes care of the farm and you can help him around the farm by doing various tasks (likely inspired by Alice in Wonderland tasks)

There's:

• Apple picking
• Field plowing
• Plant watering
• Harvesting

And given that this season will bring new props like potted plants, garden beds, maybe even boost realm trees if you water them

All in all, it's theme is about planting, gardening, and farming

i like this question theres 2 season ive been imagining in my head

• season of silence
  take place after eden shattering. The season show group of spirits who lost hope and filled with immense sadness until they lost their voice after the shattering (ruin their home/loved one). The skykid then help them by retrieving their happy memory fragment through obstacles (similar to moomin quest)

• season of white
  skykid were thrown (lol) into white land, no color and we were lost no where to go. Each quest of the season guide skykid to find way back home (this is like adventurous type season) and slowly fill white land with color

its lot similar to existing season but what i like in the season is more depth in spirits backstory and more adventure to discover when doing a season
