Ways to get candles:

1. Light red candles around the realms (if orange ball spawns, collect!)

2. Burn plants that aren't for dye or spirits (plants you haven't burnt yet glow)

3. Play the races in valley (flying race, sliding race, Hermit Valley Race)

4. Participate in timed events and events in general (!geyserwhen, !grandmawhen, !turtlewhen, cinnamoroll cafe, other event places!!!)

5. Do the daily sheet in Harmony hall

6. Suffer in trials (not recommended if not very skilled)

7. ask other people if there are any other ways, i may have forgotten

8. Grab an uber. Make sure to cooperate and be a good passenger princess :)) 👍

• There are 3 chevrons on your candle. For every 5 you collect, that's 1 chevron less, and the less chevrons you have, the slower your candle collection
• 15 candles is usually the sweet spot, but you can go as far as 20 until "grey"

Yes the dailies! You can get the spirit by going into the shipwreck area then back where you came and starting it. I don’t like the krill much so I try to keep them out of my way as much as possible.

After losing all those wings first, yes! After an Eden run, all the winged light you’d collected are refreshed, they’ll all reappear where you first found them

any wing you lost can be recovered but note the one after the temple has been moved to the first boat you pass by

All the wls you'd collected before can be collected again. What you CAN'T collect again unless you do another Eden run are wing buffs (the wings you get from upgrading spirit friendship level using ascended candles)

Yup! And if you trade some AC with spirits, then you can use that to get more and more starting WLS every time you go through Eden!

Take a look at the map shrines if you're unsure if you've cleared out an area. Anything with a white sparkle on it, there's still a WL in that region.

My memory is a bit fuzzy on Ender Lilies, but Ender Magnolia lets you customize the difficulty to make it as easy or difficult as you want. The benefit of customizing to make it more difficult is that, apart from the challenge, you’ll get more ‘fragments’ from enemies, which let you unlock stuff like bestiary entries or concept art.

Oh yeah! @gray elbow One last thing to mention. If you do end up checking out those games, I highly suggest beginning with Ender Lilies. You’ll still be able to follow Ender Magnolia’s plot if you play EM first, as it’s mostly self-contained, but Ender Lilies comes first in the series timeline and will provide a lot of context for things discussed in EM.
I hope I’m not overwhelming you. I’m just very passionate about these two games and love getting to introduce people to them.

and the Krills have no object permanence. I once was heading up through the pipes in Eden, a Krill flew by, and I noticed its horns were wiggling as it flew. It was so cute and silly that I didn’t feel as tense about the situation anymore. It helped to endear me to them. They’re just a buncha silly shinps who are a bit too hungry for our good.

I like to imagine the reason the Krill over the rocks that you pass through when entering Forgotten Ark by boat stays over there and doesn’t get closer to Ark is because the Enchantment Spirits feed it the extra/leftover light from their spellmaking, so it has no reason to be more aggressive in it’s patrol range.

It's a lot easier to fly imo with a mouse and keyboard.
You can also get more out of flight on PC, since holding down the "switch flight mode" key while you take off will automatically put you into gliding mode - which gives you more height.

Half of the butterdyes glitched to follow them, and they did the same thing at the next giant cluster. i kept doing the no emote when they were deep calling the plant too...

aaaaand i reloaded into the area to see two ppl just standing in another swarm, spamming deep calls. No plants there, just them repeatedly deep calling the BUTTERDYES.

I don’t like that plants are near crabs though. Like you’ll get bonked if you don’t honk at them. That needs to at least be an off limits section of the map. (that happened in Sanctuary and a kid got mad at me. I didn’t even see there was dye in there. I just honk out of habit. )
