I had an amazing day today, does anyone wanna hear some highlights? It's okay if not!

• I go to church (I’m not religious anymore, but I still go because A) the morals they try to teach are things I want to remember, and B) the community there is very friendly!) every Sunday, and there was this big early Christmas celebration! Lots of people brought their own dishes for a potluck, and I got to watch a chill yet also chaotic gift exchange-
• I went to another early Christmas hangout afterwards, and I loved it! I don’t usually socialize (Introvert and neurodivergent ), but it was really nice hanging out with all of my friends!
• I brought a gift for one of said friends, these special pens, since I know she draws a lot, and she loved it!
• Speaking of gifts, there was a White Elephant going on, and even though I’m sad I had my heated blanket gift stolen in the final round, I’m still delighted with what I got: A hybrid light projector and speaker that’s mainly used to help you sleep, but you can also use it like a normal Bluetooth speaker :D

So is my friend's car in general... She literally got it for a buck from a friend's grandmother who didn't need it, and she herself needed a car, so it got handed down to her... The left passenger door rubber frame is loose, the doors have to by manually locked and don't auto... Unless you unlock the car via the passenger side in which 3/4 doors will unlock... The belt it loose and rattles and had been looked at MULTIPLE times... It's fun!

I tried making sure I handed out as many hearts to my close friends as possible before bidding it farewell until... who knows how long. It was extremely helpful. I 100%ed GW recently, at 92% for Valley, only that, Forest and Prairie left.

we have season of aurora, which seems extremely canon, and season of the little prince, which is canon adjacent and seems like it could be in the base game

but we also have moomin and nine-colored deer

there's a bit of a problem here, because the story/collab wall at the Vault basically determines that all of these things are actually non-canon

However, Aurora and Prince can be accessed in the base-game

Well, with AURORA it was kind of always canon in a way, if I remember, she's the one who hums and sings the 'ending' harmony in Orbit. And probably whenever you hear humming from an actual human voice it's her doing so

I don't actually contest aurora, because the season can be discovered in the "base game" through natural progression

Similarly, the season of The Little Prince used to be discovered through conventional means (similar to season of the abyss, or season of sanctuary-- basically a constellation gate)

I personally think your mileage may vary on this one! I consider Little Prince and Nine-Coloured Deer canon. Aurora is near-indisputably canon. And I consider Moomin half-canon, in that I don’t consider the story itself canon, but that Tove Jansson is a canon skykid in-universe and that we’re walking our way through her creation.

I don't consider moomin cannon to sky because you're teleported to moomin valley as a butterfly, I do believe it's cannon that we see the moomins but that they literally aren't in the world of sky you get teleported.

a problem I have with nine-colored deer and moomin, though, is that they are only added after the introduction of the storybook wall, and can only be accessed through meditation circles, which implies that the events are experienced through a skykid's mind.

However, the fact that you can physically travel to aurora or to TLP (through windpaths) kind of cements their canonicity.

As for my explanation for the Vault of Knowledge warp? Convenience. Starlight Desert is incredibly vast, and it would probably be quite the walk even to get to the point of it that’s incredibly relevant. And Crescent Oasis is a frontier town on the very fringes of the Sky kingdom, and would absolutely be a few days’ worth of travelling through Starlight Desert to even so much as reach Vault. The Oasis-Vault link was established to save this time travelling.

Since TLP and Alice in Wonderland are books, 9CD is a tale, and AURORA has worked with TGC before and has kind of been confirmed to be canon in every way (TGC revamped the arena because of the season lol), etc. I see them as canon
Some of the smaller collabs or ones from big companies like cinamoroll not canon (becauseidontseeiteverbeingcanon-), and Kizuna Ai either being partially canon or not canon (Kizuna I see being partially because it really only added new accessories)

Journey however, that just directly connects Sky to Journey to me, no questions asked, everything to do with them is linked

also if you ever arent sure about buying an IAP i reccomend trying out spells first
u typically get 3 spells so:
1 spell can be used on trying it out with other clothes you have - do you have things you would wear it with, capes it pairs with etc.
1 spell for flying around with - do you like how it looks in the realms outside of home/aviary, is the physics what you expected. etc. [typically applies to capes more when it comes to the physics of it but]
then 1 spell left for hoarding

afaik the corridor prop just gives you access to the event area, like how the cinnamaroll prop makes the cafe look like the collab cafe when placed on the hearth

given how events tend to go, it's unlikely that the wax activities will remain once the event is over and you revisit the area with the prop. and an event hair style won't be accessible once the event is over either

The event itself is permanent yes, but it has different primary theming and events every year. Collabs usually state that there’s no plans for their items to return once they leave, and I’d assume that’s true here as well— the collab is just being used as a Christmas event as well, quite nicely I think
