Hmmm there's no best time tho, but if you want to maximize the number of candles, try to collect candles from geyser and grandma first. In that way you can get bigger lights from the candles.

It's a little hard to describe where they are, but from the area where the highest WL in the area is (there's a candle cake there, too), you want to fly across the room to the series of floating and moving platforms. Greeting Shaman is just at the top of them.

Usually:

Floor 1: Light the candles. Check the big door. If people are waiting there, help out. If not, chibi-fall through or use a Shared Space to get through. (Both can be combined if you use chibi, though, and you only have one or two people waiting there - I've brought people through before simply because no-one else was showing up.)

Floor 2: Same as Floor 1, basically. There's usually enough people there to open the door, but if there isn't, then again with the shared space, or slip through the floor under the stairs as a chibi. (Chibi-falling is surprisingly hard on this floor.)

Floor 3: Really short. I skim the stance spirit's route, pick up the candles, recharge from the WL spot, and circle upwards until I reach floor 4.

Floor 4: This part's hard to describe. I go to the place where WL#1 is (if I recall its location right?), because there are candles under there, and sometimes a cake on top if it's a candle cake day there. From there, I fly over to Memory Whisperer/Shushing Light Scholar, and fly along the stairs until I reach the cake at the mid point. From there, I fly up to the top, land to pick up the candle cake. Then I take off, go across the room to Greeting Shaman's candle cake (it's a fairly easy glide in open-wing mode), then down to the one below, then back to the elevator.

Floor 5: I sit back down. I light the lanterns if they aren't lit, but they usually are.

Floor 6: Once the mantas show up, I ride them up to the top (sometimes I'll fly up on my own if I feel like it, though!), then I'll follow the platform up until the temple, grabbing all of the candles along the way. Don't forget the candle cake in behind the place where you sit at the temple!

So I'm going to a film festival with the crew I helped make a short film with, and the mostly mid teens cast and the director

I get travel sickness really bad, so I'm throwing my guts up, and this kid next to me is play fighting with the kid in the row in front is us and yelling, so losing my patience I sharply go "SHH!" And tell him to stop messaging around, but I didn't remind him it's because I'm extremely unwell and don't want any carry on

So later, same kid begins shushing me and telling me "wanna be the director in my short film, JK!!!" And I just ignored him because firstly I'm a stagehand not a director, and secondly it was an immature attempt at bullying.

You can get over 20 candles a day but even getting the 20th is rough most players just aim for 15 a day which you can get in about an hour if you attend all the wax events

Also you can use the commands "!geyserwhen" "!grandmawhen" and "!turtlewhen" to remind you of the times

I just wander around if I pass any wax I'll collect it but if not then I just slowly let my candle count raise, I work and run a home, I don't have enough time to do a 2 hour candle run and dailies on top of that.

Most people eventually quit sky when they have other commitments with work or a family and that's because a good candle run can be so time consuming

There’s like, one spot with dark plants that is close to the krill path, and even then it’s just a matter of waiting for the krill to go past if you’re really worried.

It was scary to me the past few times, but my friends and I did the parts the krill could see when it was away and that helped. We usually didn’t know what darkness plants were left and would get spotted. So yeah it’s worth it as long as you’re timing it right!

there’s no shards that give 4 AC, max is 3.5 AC, and that’s at:

• Jellyfish Cove
• Sanctuary Island
• Forgotten Ark
• Hermit Valley
• Elevated Clearing
• Treehouse

Those are all more dangerous shards given they literally have swirling rocks in where dark plants are.

Graveyard shard is easy AND safe, you’re probably just overreacting because it sounds like a difficult location, but it isn’t. The shard today is on the right side of Graveyard up on the cliff where krill can’t get to you.
