as of beckoning ruler, only four spirits were hyped so much back then:

however, juggler was the spirit who broke the servers for over 4 hours if im not wrong it was a "you had to be there" moment back then

i think it was the last 2 weeks of little prince, and juggler released right along the prince sword pants, and since juggler was highly anticipated, the players all went in at once just to get the cosmetics, making the servers unstable

I can confirm sand is fun to touch. Some sand is fine that you can't even hear your footsteps. Some sand gritty like on a beach. Some sand even might be crackled due to rising and evaporating water underneath!

yes, they can. they bear the brunt of damage but can only take so much. you can restore their charge by visiting the respective Elder's Temple and awakening them, or doing so at the light in Eden

I was wondering because I keep seeing hand hold/piggyback/carried players in Geyser and Grandma.

Then some moff friend came by just as Grandma started earlier. I got my moff into the Grandma area. But thankfully they're very willing to fly up and explore on their own. (In fact they initially kidnapped me to explore lol).

Usually what I do is show them the WL and spirits around the area and guide them all the way to the end of the realm,if i have chat unlocked (which never happens I'm poor on candles) i would usually just advice them to watch YouTube tutorials because I feel like that'll teach them better than and give them more information

i wait to see if they see spirits, because if they havent done eden many hidden and they can get emote but dont actually see the spirit, some lovely people helped me when moff, and i realise i kind of missed out
not their fault just being helpful I know, but i try to avoid gathering ones they dont see yet

The worst part is how when you aim for such exact sizes it's useless because you won't even notice the difference between being size 0 or size 1 if you're not actively seeking out a way to measure minute details
Such insane focus on details that are not even noticeable normally

Treehouse is worse before you've completed all the Assembly quests. Worst lately has been Starlight Desert, but only because I keep having to pick up my Wingless alt when a flying rock hits them

So it's kinda easy to lose all your light there. Me being me, I travel at the speed of light to light them up and grab dropped WLs. One player KEPT DYING but would run around while I chased them. Confused, I thought "Maybe that player is panicked. Let's clear up the Shard and I'll help them afterwards." So we cleared the Shard whilst resisting being tempted by the lost light icon. Once cleared, I tried lighting the player, but their appearance wouldn't light up.

The player did a laugh emote while (iirc) another player did the scold emote.

Was I pranked?? O.o That player was just cosplaying as a no-light player! Or was trying to do that on purppse at the Red Shard!

It then turned to mutual laughter and joking and we all happily went into the Shard memory ^_^

You can't, Only thing that makes veteran's shadows different from moth shadows is wing levels if you've not lit them.

Winged lights can help tell
If they have many winged lights they probably have some experience (in particular 12 wedges requires around a year of playtime)
Very low light counts are pretty likely new players but that's not a certainty, sometimes old players remove their WLs on purpose
Otherwise the cosmetics can show if someone is experienced because if they're wearing cosmetics from years ago then they must've played back then
Beginning cosmetics are often new players but again sometimes older players just like using these cosmetics

But to even see the comsetics they wear you do need to light them, as proto said
