As someone who used Laidback's stance for a while, it always caught me off guard to lay down in that stance, because your skykid just hunches over, face into the floor.

Same. I stand in that kind of laidback stance a lot IRL, so I ended up using it for a while because of it. But I grew to love the mysterious closed-cape look of the standard stance more, so I use it now.

i like to use laidback when im wearing a scarf cape/any cape that doesnt go all the way around

I personally like to use the kind of wide stance for bulky pants if I'm wearing a scarf alongside them. So if I'm going Yeti mode, I'll be using that instead so my skykid's arms don't clip into their sides.

I'm using Tea Brewer's cape with Oddball Outcast's pants now, but those don't have so much clipping, so defalt it is.

I mean, to be fair, I've been playing for over a year and a half now. I've had enough time to gather more and more.

We all start somewhere! My moth outfit was extremely simple for the longest time, too. I used a mask and pants scrounged up (barely) from my moth season, the free Isle of Dawn hair, and the teal cape after a little bit of time grinding up to get that thing. And the horn (which quickly got replaced by the harp).

Funny thing, I'm almost nostalgic for my days of using the horn now, much as I thought it was a little obnoxious at the time.

Elder masks do that when you break them, they're basically a layer of WL defense that breaks when you get hit by a krill/crab/rock or do anything that would make you lose WL, dunno why it happened in Aviary though.

You can get them if you complete a full constellation (currently only the first three work) then in orbit, you can see the elder of that area, who'll have a mini friendship tree that first has an elder hair for 5-20 AC (just guessing I'm not completely sure) and then an elder mask for 75/125/250 AC

I’m pretty sure those hairstyles are from valley. I’m also certain i’ve heard some lore theories about valley residents being classist or something, so in a way it’s strangely fitting that they act the way they do (although this doesn’t apply to everyone with those hairstyles).

I'm getting really annoyed at all the constant server splits in Eden, I'm specifically trying to shepherd my partner through this place because it terrifies her and either the door doesn't open, it sort of HALF-opens with the light rectangles still visible, or we just get split apart entirely

I recommend doing the quests from prairie peaks and aviary first : those guides have free hearts
Although, most of aviary quests is other guides
So, if you are planning on buying hearts from spirits since you talked about not getting a lot from people, i'd say it would be best to do them in the order of aviary's quests for just these extra few hearts

Ok so... Doctor Who is a show that's been around for 60 years, with the same exact protagonist throughout. To justify new actors fulfilling the role, they have the Doctor regenerate when he dies. Same person, new skin and personality.
