Hm, well, it could be simply that they are chronically absentminded. However, this can sometimes be a symptom of a much broader condition, so if you have any concerns it would be best to see a specialist doctor and provide them a timeline (ex. when did you start forgetting things, are there certain conditions under which you forget, do you have any other worrying symptoms).

Uhh well- I can't provide too much in the way of actual medical advice but I could suggest that they start with a qualified counsellor/psychiatrist and go from there. That way they can narrow down their symptoms and get the referrals they need if necessary, instead of going to a specialist with the idea that "I have X condition" in mind when they might not

so for those unfamiliar with the original movie, the Nine-Colored Deer's story goes like this!:

the Deer is like REALLY divine! first off it has many animal friends in the forest, for background. one day it moved mountains for this group of lost merchants, and the merchants told everyone in town about it! later, an Herb Gatherer was drowning, and the Deer helped him, but made him swore to not tell anyone. soon the Princess heard of the rumors and now really REALLY wants to make a coat out of the Deer's fur and so the Lord set up a bounty, anyone who can find the Deer earns a LOAD of money!!! and Gatherer went too overboard and finally told the Lord he knows where the Deer is... the Deer's friends overheard his plans and told the Deer "bestie they are gonna KILL YOU" but it said "it's okay i can't die!" and Gatherer with Lord's troops lured the Deer by pretend-drowning and THE TROOPS FIRED ARROWS AT THE DEER WHEN IT SHOWED UP. and the Deer was like "YOU LIED!!!!!" and did a big honk (actually) and turned arrows to dust, and Gatherer drowned for real. and the troops bowed in shame. the end.

tl;dr: Gatherer almost drowned but Deer saved him, Gatherer swore to keep it a secret, Princess wants fur of Deer, Lord sets up bounty, Gatherer pretend-drowns to lure out Deer, Deer turns hunters' arrows to dust, kills Gatherer.

Sky revolves pretty heavily around life, the stages of life (the realms) and so on and so forth. It was always in existence before the spirits meddled with it. My best guess is that skykids are "artificial" children of the light (we specifically have a creator, we're clearly made out of clay or some other inorganic material, etc.) so we were born from the disruption of the natural cycle.

I also find it deeply ironic, because I’m pretty sure AER: Memories of Old also had a similar plotline of getting in too deep and wrecking the world (I didn’t entirely understand it, to be honest), and I played Sky in the hopes that it would be AER with an actually good ending.

Considering I’m still playing Sky, I’d say it at least succeeded with that. But it’s not hard to do, either.

-The entire quest repeats,there is NO end for Saint's suffering
-His quest is WORTHLESS,neither the ancients nor the Iterators could see far enough to see past their current cycle and see the greater cycle of the world and became obsessed with the void and ascension. None could enjoy life.
-Saint will live eternally,untill it is the only thing left. And its existence possibly stifles any possiblity at other intelligent lifeforms.||

Outer Wilds is a game in which knowledge - as in knowledge for you, the player - is the main reward of the game. Watching playthroughs of the game will ruin everything because you will learn the secrets necessary to progress and be able to skip many many things; going in as blind as you can (short of finding out what the rough gameplay is like) is the best thing I can recommend.

Oh, and please keep the music volume up, the game's score is fantastic. You ever played a space game where a banjo is the main instrument?

There is one other thing I'd recommend, but this one is more of a personal recommendation: Avoid going to the Observatory until you've seen a large chunk of the base game. This one's up for debate but personally I find a lot more of Echoes clicks into place when you're already familiar with the little clockwork solar system

I don’t think there’s basegame ones, but for TSes: keep an eye out for Leaping Dancer! They’re a fox.

You also have Sassy Drifter, who’s more of a weasel, but you also know they’ll be around when the full PC version releases.

The final Passage mask is more of a tanuki than anything, but if all else fails, that can pull double duty as a fox.

You can probably get enough by doing the various seasonal quests scattered about. Although the hearts are optional, so if you don't care about getting some extra sparkly things on your emotes, you can skip them

I've sometimes made friends from just silly interactions and then moved to chat bench to talk with them

Okay so There's a strat for grandma, where people put shared spaces above on the windows
You fly up there and activate the shared space : it will have light props on the spawn locations of the food
This causes all the food to get broken as soon as it spawns, for everyone
Then to be able to go back down easily and get all the wax for yourself (because normally you exit the space when back on the table), there was a bug where if you quickly exit a shared space after entering it, the game forgets to take away the props

I know there's a medi spot at the befinning and end of Forest I get mixed up. So I go into those ones with the attitude of "I'll find it when I find it." And I'm always uncertain of if I'm thinking of the right place when it calls for elevated clearing.

ok ok. So first area is the wind path,then you get into the fenced off area,then the long tree path and then you come to the fork in the road after a screen transition

So run through forest as normal, you have the first door to light, then the second door to light. After the third door you have to light, hang a right at the little cover thing with the candles and there's a spirit doorway in the cliffside
There's a back way in also, but just forward, it's easier if you're still learning all the areas 🙂

When you arrive in the Forest, head deeper in. Once you arrive there, look for a small hill to climb with a crack in the wall; the crack will have an orange forcefield on it - I forget if it's the Brook or before the Temple

I adore the game myself and its ideas - and most of you folks here - but it seems like between it being very hard to get players to actually interact with each other, the horrific deluge of extremely-priced IAPs, and the (from what I've heard) lack of willingness on TGC's part to adapt and overhaul existing systems in favor of churning out more content, I'm just not really sure if I really have a place here at this point. Feels like I'm way too late to do anything useful.

Gen has a shorter cooldown, but is very quick-paced and frantic. On the other hand, Cozy has a longer cooldown, but a generally calm atmosphere is encouraged.

If I wanted to be blunt, it feels like I'm being gatekept in this game supposedly about inclusion and cooperation, between the time-limited events, the unavailability of most items barring winning a 1d200 roll every two weeks and praying I have sufficient candles to actually get what I want, and the 15€ for a singular umbrella that I would be willing to consider if it weren't for the other factors weighing in. Like, right now it feels like I'm just another moth on the pile of 2000 to be ignored by veteran players in favor of AFKing at a table for half an hour to save up candles.

So i do hope that kind of feedback pushes TGC to finally overhaul the systems that punish new players (looking at TS)

Everyone has different ways of playing and there's no specific way you have to play it.
