Taking a little break from readings

The last quest for this season is finally out and it's always a pain to see a season ending, but I wanna know what you guys thought of this season overall. As someone who didn't get to experience the entirety of this (and like none of Remembrance and Passage lol) I don't really have like the full, genuine experience to critique any of these three lol

I saw the keychain (small) and BIIIIIIIG manta, there is also one thats in-between, like the game's plushie

I haven’t played the last quest yet, but I like it! I think of it as a better Shattering - introduces a game mechanic, but keeps things fresh and interesting each mission despite the core mechanic. And the chill atmosphere fits better.

Also it has a music sheet. So it gets points above Passage and even Remembrance (though I like Remembrance a lot more, too) for that alone.

I though most of the season was pretty great! The camera was an excellent, overdue addition and is probably my GOAT accessory. The emotes and cosmetics were a lot of fun. Peaks is a very nice new location. I just wish the story of the season was more substantial, thats my only little nitpick, it didn't interest me like Remembrance or Passage. Overall really really good, it went fast.

My one issue with Moments was that it wasn’t well-communicated that you didn’t have to save the pictures. I procrastinated on it because of that.

But yeah. Shattering is a low point to me.

Oh, and also that the time change mechanic didn’t mess with my music sheet. I want more reason to revisit the peaks.

It was a pretty season, but kind of boring, but I guess that's what we get for a tutorial season. Though, even though something's a tutorial doesn't mean it has to be boring. I haven't played the last part yet but I've seen it, and would be very touching, but I feel like I haven't gotten to know much about the spirits. I would be more attached if there was more of a story, which is something that felt missing from passage as well. The camera is cool, the cosmetics were OK (did not get the pass) and the ults... were underwhelming imo. Apologies if this is long

Actually, yeah, I feel like I have similar complaints. I like the spirits, but I don’t feel attached to them at all. Compare to Remembrance. I felt feelings when they went away. I’m kind of sad we don’t get them reacting to the pictures you’ve taken.

I actually don’t mind the lacking ults! I found it a good incentive to chill out a bit and not worry so much.

Shattering had so much potential tbh. I can't really passionately hate it cuz y'know, the devs worked hard on it and stuff– I guess it just wasn't as what people were expecting from an Eden season. It's almost eye opening kinda lol, in a bad way. It was a culmination of something everyone wanted for so long, but then when we got it, it's just

I feel like it would have been better if the quests were just different each time. Even if we got story shards that went away after clearing the quest that were mechanically unique, and you had to rely on certain tricks to clear them.

Like there’s be one in Forest that teaches you to pay attention to your surroundings, as the rain drains your light and you need to recognise potential light sources.

Only exception is the teaser for AURORA, they released the trailer for that two weeks into Shattering

The season’s color themes are purple and brown, and the cosmetics are inspired by English, specifically Elizabethan, culture.

Joining you is the Stories Guide and four spirits:

Blocking Writer, who has the “Restrict” emote. They were brought in the Forbidden Library to make sure nobody gets access to the valuable secrets. However, they’re a big softie at heart. Their cosmetics include a prop that’s a giant block, a balding hairstyle, and a purple velvet tunic pants

Questionable Artist, who has the “drawing on air” emote. They were invited to the Forbidden Library to help create reference drawings for all the books. They are absolutely obsessed with what they’re doing, which includes anything related to their newest art gallery. Their cosmetics include a detailed reddish purple mask with a masquerade glasses on it, a dark brown cloak with detailed etchings, and a long powdered wig.

Inventory Counter, who has the “count players” emote, which automatically notifies where each player is on the server. They just learned how to count, because they’re a child invited to the Forbidden Library so that they can read a lot. Their cosmetics include an indigo nightgown, a matching indigo nightcap, and a chalk drawing prop.

Snappy Editor, who has the “snapping” emote. They’re the only actual productive member of the Forbidden Library, but they don’t care and get all the work done anyways. Their cosmetics include a worn-down white and purple cape, a stack of memory crystals, and a long and messy formal hair.

The ultimate gifts include a cape with murals on it depicting a story, and a hair that‘s a single quill on top of it.

The seasonal quests for this season are unique in that they can be done in any order. To make the story, you will have to

-Find something to write a story on
-Get feedback for the story
-Give pictures for references
-Allow for the story to be stored and distributed

1. ⁠Finding something to write a story on

First, you will have to go to the Nodding Muralist in the Forgotten Ark. They say they have a spare slate to write murals on, but the Snoozing Carpenter slept while trying to carry it. So, you need to lift the slate and carry it to the Nodding Muralist. Once the quest is done, you can teleport back the Forbidden Library, where some introductory murals about a child are shown.

2. Have the story edited. For this quest, you have to go to the Forgetful Storyteller in the Village Theater. They say they’ll help, but they’re not so familiar on what the story is about. So, they want you to act it out on the stage, allowing you to establish a “setting” for the story using the levers. New things will be added on the mural depending on what you set in the village theater.

3. Get pictures for references.

For this, you have to go to the Pleading Child in the Repository of Refuge. They say that memories of the light creatures exist somewhere in the Vault of Knowledge, with on on each floor. There are 5 creature memories in total (birds, butterflies, jellyfish, manta, crabs), and you can choose what ones to bring. The murals show the creatures whose memories you found added to the story.

4. Get bookshelfs so that you can store it. The Baffled Botanist in the beginning area mini-Treehouse is where you have to go there. The Baffled Botanist brings out shelves, but they’re deteriorated from the rain, and so they task you to repair it You’ll have to go to the Wind Paths to dry them out and repair them with the help of the Talented Builder.

Once you’re all done, it turns out the story was about you all along, helping the Forbidden Library and each of its spirits.

1- in any place without snow, the snowman prop from days of feast will appear melted. when you place it in valley it is not melted.
2- when walking on sand in wasteland, it sounds very different to the ground in valley. the ground in valley sounds the same as the ground at home during days of feast, which is snow because it's a winter event.

and also if it was a desert why would the spirits in the village of dreams and the rhythm spirits there all be wearing winter clothing

Mischief does have candle items, and quite a few of them, so I’d recommend saving just in case. But at the same time, you might not like all of them. I think the only one I actively tend to use is the cat hair, myself.

But I expect it’ll use events tickets this year, too, like everything else. So it’s not terribly urgent if you find yourself not liking too many items.

As it stands, it’s 224 candles for everything but the table, which costs hearts. With some intense saving and candle running until you gray out, you could get that in 12(ish) days. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Too exhausting.

I was just at granny’s and wanted to record the handpan noises that you hear there sometimes, so I opened my settings station (where you can change volume and brightness) but didn’t get to record the noise, and then I saw a HUGE lot of wax because I had the settings open for so long, (if that makes sense) but when the wax swirled around me and dissolved , my candle meter wouldn’t go up. Just kidding but I do have an issue with it, not because it's ugly like hello if fricken fabulous, but because it's red. Idk, maybe it's just me that's having a hard time with red cosmetics to fit with anything? If the pants are red, which are not a lot of red pants, I don't like the look of it. It looks fine with the base game pants and other pants of that color.

Lacking green, you could contrast it against a set of blue pants to highlight its orange tones.
