i mean when i was a kid i wasn’t afraid of kirby final bosses. now that i’m older i get their creepiness. they’re designed in a way to be friendly to kids, but have more depth to adults.

kirby is good and complex, and can be enjoyed by kids and also older people. i’ve never really seen an issue with the stuff being inappropriate for a certain age, and it’s very good for kids media to have more for them to enjoy than just Colors and Shapes. it feeds their brains

Like I was 10 (I think) when I first learned about Kirby, and Triple Deluxe and Robobot had me hooked from the start. I didn't have any way to play them, but I still enjoyed watching playthroughs of it and I remember being super fascinated by the lore of the bosses, like how Coily Rattler (or whatever it's name was) was a statue of a deity the Floralians worshipped in older times Taranza brought to life.

I got to play Rainbow Curse on my Wii U back when the library still had video games to borrow. (Then the pandemic hit and when the library finally opened again they stopped doing that. ) I never beat the game because my brother and I got stuck on that spiky orb boss with the face that you have to hit the right piece of because it kept crushing us.

i only started playing kirby last year, my first game was kirby and the epic yarn i love how they designed it, but i imagine getting turned from an invincible god to a few pieces of yarn sounds quite terrifying, but i guess when you're kirby it doesn't matter
i first played it on a wii when i borrowed the game from a library, but i later bought the ds game when i moved away from said library

Skyward Sword had us exploring the skies, and then we got that in Tears. Same. Admittedly there are a bunch of popular cosmetics that I still really like (Rhythm pants), but I’m more so concerned with just having stuff I like, you know? I’m a bit of a collector regardless, but I will gladly snap up animal masks over, say, samurai pants.

Ults are different because of their age and "will not return" stuff, they get more valuable every year, but its also in the eye of the beholder whether they want the cosmetic from that season or not

I addressed it as a conversation starter but then everyone got confused because I was too blunt about it. My messages were interpreted terribly and resulted in this mess

The topic of Ults and whether or not they should return is a very hot subject. Some people think not letting them return is unfair to players who couldn't get the Ults during a Season for reasons such as being unable to play during it, not knowing how Seasons worked, or even those who wanted to play Sky but couldn't because they had no device that supported it. Others think letting them return is unfair to the people who did play that Season because they had to if not pay for a Season Pass, at least work to achieve getting it, and that Ult reworks like the instruments in Harmony Hall and Owl Hair 2.0 are just as good as the originals.

I'm the kind of person to lean more towards the former because I really wanted the Dreams Ults when I saw them in it's questline, but I had no way to play the game until it released on Switch and thus literally could not be there for Dreams. If the Dreams Ults got a 2.0, I don't really feel like I would be happy. Yeah it technically came back, but it's not the thing I wanted anymore. It'd be like asking for cherry pie at a restaurant but getting peach pie instead. You did get a pie, but not the kind you wanted.

However, those who are against Ults returning also make good points. I think if we could all cooperate to come up with a system for Ults that would satisfy both sides, it might inspire TGC to make it a reality. I've seen a few ideas tossed around, like paying the same amount as a Season Pass costs to 'relive' a Season of your choosing and then having an alternate set of quests you complete to work your way towards both completing any Spirits from it who you haven't seen visit yet and being able to purchase the Ults with special hearts once you complete both the quests and the Spirits. (Sorry for the text wall, I had a lot to say. )

The frustrating thing is that, if you try to fly up to it normally, you will go out of the space’s bounds and it will disappear right before you land on it
To get onto it, you have to basically slide up the side of the boulder so it slows down your ascend just enough to reach it

Yeah I only recently did Eden on beta, so I hadn’t actually tried it out in Eden, I only had an experience with it during my first attempt at a shard on beta…
Considering I only had 4 wedges on beta, and Prairie Caves shard had red crabs at the start iirc… it went about as well as you could expect
Combined with my really poor mental health at the time (we do not talk about that part of 2022, I was a Genshin player, that says it all )

I love Neir: Automata, not just because it has a touching and sad as honk story of Androids and machines trying to make lives for themselves long after humanity has been wiped out, but because one of the endings in the game (there are like 26 different endings, most of them are joke/alternate endings) is you eating a fish you caught and dying because Android systems get severely messed up by food and the character thinking "WORTH IT" right before they pass away because the fish tasted awesome.
