zipcaster is the bane of my existance. doesn't last long enough to let you travel far and ink somewhere funny and it leaves an icon at the superjump spot like inkjet so if you don't get splatted during it, you'll get splatted when it runs out

miitopia. not even just making custom characters of whoever you like and experiencing the weirdest story to some great beats,
the classes are cool and well balanced, the ai is so good i often just let full ai teams get up to mischief, and the whole battle style with sprinkles and stuff is unique

its just good. only thing i don't like is the endgame is all daily resets and the game punishes you for timeskipping

miitopia is good because my pack of dumb ais have defined personalities just through their battle habits. like my vampire is absolutely great at taking hits for everyone else when needed and also getting targeted always. and drinking oil meant for robots. he likes it more than the actual robot on the team. don't think he's ok

REAL and TRUE i love playing imp or princess to be in control of the debuffs while my party members deal the heavy damage and goof off together the switch version especially lets me make fun characters for my party and the townies

it's intentionally really simple, you only control your hero but the ai is good enough for you to not need to control them unless they're a cat

imp is great! gets so much hate when they can just debuff and start giving turns to the heavy hitters. peak support

miitopia classes are great bc you can just throw anything together and it will work. sometimes i use no healer and its just fine. especially at endgame every class gets such a wide variety of skills that just about any team works

I've Been Beaned. i usually control the imp myself because it's my favorite class but the ai does great too like it always knows to cast sweet whispers asap, it knows who to give an extra turn to, it usually doesn't override great mood with that one hyper move, it's great

yeah lazy isn't great for the ai party members the potential mp save/damage boost from slack off is NOT worth your entire party beating you up for hiding behind them (which doesn't happen for the hero unless you're autobattling)

like my hero was a lazy imp and i thought "wow this is great! i should try this with other classes" and then everyone had max resentment with each other

my main 5 i use rn are two cool, a stubborn, cautious, and kind. and suprisingly the bad abilities very rarely trigger, i have seen shan't be used once the entire game and that was in new lumos

I think wasteland was like a facility for producing something (like how the mural in abyss shows creatures of light being imprisoned and maybe used for their light) and that dark creatures were born from the used/corrupted light creatures and that's why the wasteland is a wasteland now. oh and that it's called golden because they once thought using the light creatures would bring them power and riches but it brought destruction instead. (probably a common theory but I enjoy it )

sorry to bring something more negative to cozy but i feel like none of my social interactions on sky are going right at all i run into people when i dont have time to socialize.. i tried to listen to someone playing music in the middle of the prairie social area and they left almost as soon as i sat down, when i tried to interact with a group of other people they did the scare emote at me and then otherwise ignored me, and when i tried to help a moth that added me i dont think they knew that theres a translate feature (they were speaking japanese) and they teleported to home

it might have to do with my outfit since everything im wearing is from remembrance/the current ts, combined w having 9 flaps rn (i can get up to 11)… maybe ppl think im a new player? but i otherwise cant think of a reason why ppl would ignore me… sighs

i did a social experiment in sky once where i dressed as a moth and lit people, they only started paying attention to me when i changed into my regular outfit

it's part of why i think we should have less boxes surrounding "moth" and "veteran" because it only drives the community apart.

That’s one thing I do notice about people that glorifies of owning ultimates as being the top tier of the social ladder. As an old player, I really need to emphasise that Sky is not a game that features social hierarchy, it is a game where everyone are equals, no matter what you wear or background you have irl.

I have my own experience with moths myself. Either they want to immediately friend me and never log back in after a day or two of playing the game, actually friend me and play with me everyday or someone who just wants to see what I look like

I’m scared to light moths and then they’ll friend me and never come back. I have so many already… I kinda blocked them.. I don’t want to fill my constellation with inactive players… but moths (other than that) are quite cute.

Okay I’ve got a story
So a while ago I rescued a moth drowning in forest’s acid rain, moth friended me but then left so I didn’t think much of it
A bit later they warped to me and we chatted for a bit. This was during days of feast and they had just bought a pillow named Tom which is quite possibly the cutest interaction I’ve ever had in this game
Moff, Tom, and I proceeded to have many adventures including doing enchantment tasks and trying (and failing) to dodge krills. I don’t see this friend as often now cause they’re busy but I talked to them a bit today!
Simple story really but honestly these little interactions you can have are probably my favorite parts of Sky

I saw this player, possibly a moth but already went to eden and passed. I was at Wasteland that time, about to do my dailies until they were honking and I got curious. Went to them, lit them up and I found that they were attempting to relieve the dismiss spirit while the krill was around. I thought maybe they were confused but helped them nonetheless. The moth keeps getting spotted by the krill and I tried my best to at least distract it. We failed to relieve it but we did it again. At the end, we were successful although I lost some wl in the process but once the deed was done, they relieved the spirit, gave then confetti then left. I didn't chat with them nor let them finish relieving the spirit before leaving lmao

I was a moth at this current moment of the story. I met this cool player who plays really well on piano! I sticked by them to listen and jam out with them. Eventually we lit each other and they continued playing. We spent a couple hours playing music together and showing each other different songs. We went to a chat table and he told me he had to go to bed. I friended him and he left. The next day or two he came back online and we started to chat for hours. Eventually we sent out discord tags to each other and to this day we talk like we are best friends.

That's a really good question! I feel like Isle is probably pretty cool, Prairie is probably the perfect temperature, Forest is also probably a bit chilly cause of the rain, and Valley is definitely cold

Wasteland would probably be very humid and warm - kinda like when the sun comes out after a heavy rainstorm, Vault might be... hmm, either cold or room temperature! As for Eden, I'm curious: do you think Eden would be hot or cold?

I think the beginning of Eden is very stuffy and warm. Near the rose, however, it is both too warm and too cold at the same time, and very very windy 🙂

My thoughts are:

-Isle and Prairie: Both pleasantly warm, but not too warm. The wind carries a chill in the air, enough to keep you comfortable. Neither are unpleasant to stay in, and many skykids like to relax in both as a result.

-Forest: Warm and humid. It's one of those places where it's not the rain that soaks you through, it's sweat. It has its cooler areas, but for the most part, it's shockingly warm.

-Valley: Definitely cold, no way to deny that, but that satisfying kind of cold that chills you within. Definitely gives you the vibe of a snow day.

-Wasteland: Bitterly cold. The sun doesn't shine upon it, and as a result, the temperature has dropped rapidly. It's the kind of bone-cold that makes you feel like you can hardly move.

-Vault: Cold seeps in from Wasteland and Eden, but it's at least kept at a comfortable temperature by the inherent magic of the place. It's liveable, you might even say it's warm, but you still do get a shiver down your spine from time to time there.

To me, Isle would be like a beach in early morning. Cool and a little damp from the ocean, but not cold or unpleasant. Instead, its a refreshing coolness.

Prairie is like a nice pleasant summer day. Its warm, but not unpleasantly warm. Sanctuary would definitely be a beach during the summer.

Forest is cold and damp where its rainy, but feels like a cool, sunny day right after a rain shower where its not raining.

Valley is cold like a crisp winter day, and fills you with vigor despite the cold.

Golden Wasteland is unpleasantly hot and humid. The air is heavy with stagnant moisture from the dark water, as well as the painful memories of war.

Vault is temperate, with no weather changes, but the air is stuffy and heavy with ancient memories.

Hey i wamt to say something before i sleep that i know at least someone will see it:

I always wanted to find a game like sky, because I was bullied a lot when I was a kid, and because of that I ended up spending eight years of my life without any friends, so I joined into online games to try to make friends, and at the time I considered myself a cisgender girl so... you know what happened.

But now years later I found sky, the.only game.where I can run in the same place around a veteran player and he won't get mad at me and maybe even laugh at what I'm doing, or he'll join me, the only game around where experienced players look at moths like me and don't think I'm useless and can't do anything, they think I'm cute and want to help me.

And this community here then? If I ask something really silly someone comes and tells me what, I want to know, nobody judges me and they just want me to love the game.

Thank you everyone for yhe beautiful welcome and for the veterans that looked at my little moth face and willinging took me where i wanted, you made my day alot brighter than anything, thank you devs to make an depress lonly person feel loved...after months of ab bad break up.
