im glad theyre programmed to really just strike once and then pull up, unless the first time they dont make contact. that's how i got the crab field krill to target me twice in a row, the second time when out of wings, and i still dodged the spiky menace

They basically grew up and were besties with a manta, travelling everywhere with them but one time in gw the manta got krilled (the baby manta scene yes) and my sky kid was overrun with grief. They spent years wandering, looking for the manta, going towards the krills because that’s where they thought the manta would be- Then they go through eden, and think that it was perhaps the end, and that they’d never find the manta again, but while in orbit they see the manta as a cosmic manta and they are reunited for about 2 minutes. Then they get reborn but they know where to find the manta, so that’s why my sky kid always returns to eden, facing the pain for love

My Skykid OC is Magnolia. Due to being a Shattering skid, she’s able to avoid being krilled. My idea for that is she takes in extra light so the Krills don’t harm her, and only yeet the light she absorbed. Or she could be good at last second dodges.
Magnolia tends to be bubbly and helps others, especially moths in Wasteland.

then there's the Drummer
as the name suggests is a drummer for a small performance crew living in the Village of Dreams
cool kid vibes but not in the jerk kind of way; may be sarcastic sometimes but he definitely genuinely cares about you (if he's not tuning you out with music)

this third one doesn't have a name yet
but is the leader of the performance crew mentioned above
big dad energy so everyone just calls them Dad
and they do consider themselves a father figure to their performance crew

Sometimes he'll fly to Eden to play music sheets since he wants to be alone and away from socializing, since it drains him of energy
Yet when he does go to hide in those unknown little corners and OOBs, he ends up feeling the place is "too quiet", and hence turns into an Eden moth ferry instead
But when they start spamming blowkiss and autofollow, that's when he yeets Home and changes server to another Eden area so they can't follow him

My sky kid is Luke and he loves to play music he isn’t to good just yet but keeps practising He loves taking photos of creatures of dark and light and has several closeups of sky whale and whale in sanctuary islands luke is very lazy in the game usually getting friends to drag him to Eden and along for cabs runs and wl runs genus also very adventurous and has bad habits of getting into horrible situations with krill like the time he nearly krilled his friend and her sister while he was flying through Eden he is the opposite of xebus and loves to socialise and make friends but he does not like to constantly hold hands as time to fly around and explore is also fun to do

since the amount of spirits entering the ts pool is getting ridiculous the ts systm definitely needs an overhaul. so here’s what i propose:
instead of pulling one spirit out of hundreds every 2 weeks, they pull one season and let the individual player pick what spirit they want to buy from. only one per ts obviously, but thisll increase the probability of getting a spirit you want + will let you choose to skip without a massive fear of them never coming again

for example, with the current system, if a flight ts comes and it’s talented builder that’d be almost useless to me save for a wingbuff. but if they say “this traveling season is the season of flight!” i can choose someone like tinkering chimesmith who i dont have all the cosmetics from and everyone else can choose smthing like idk navigator bc genchat goes nuts over them

I feel like I've seen the idea of a selection of spirits being pulled, which your idea really reminds me of? So like now, except, say, five spirits instead of one and we choose the spirit we want most. Either way, though, I love that idea and hope it would be implemented now that there's four seasons worth of buffer.

Though it would be particularly vexing if it was, say, Flight, because every single one of them is a dream TS for me.

Apparently, randomness is what makes it fair. I guess by not choosing which spirit to return, all the spirits have a chance of returning and players can either be happy or upset about it.
Personally, I prefer if they make the TS appear every 3 weeks instead of 2. That's long, but it gives us more time to prepare

Did the TS ever come every 3 weeks? I don't remember the schedules for the TS before. I do remember the every week thing off-season but other than that my mind is blank

If I'm not mistaken, the TS in the Netease server are chosen by poll (read somewhere, so correct me if I'm wrong). It doesn't allow the minority of players who didn't chose the particular TS the chance to get what they want.

I think what I like most about your idea is the season one. Maybe they should make it one season every month but random. That way players can decide if they want to save for any/random spirit from x season

i actually got almost everything time-synced twice but my outdated and pirated version of premiere pro that COULD handle .mkv files, is now a steaming pile of outdated buggy garbage which deleted both save files. so now i'm spending money on it and spending an entire day converting files. might take a few days off of editing because frustrated... but ill probably just binge-complete it in my downtime

i cant get over just how beautiful this game is - 1 week and i've beena happier person - im still a moth so these vets i was hanging out with went to match my cape w me - and i went afk so they gave me a pillow and plaued a lullaby

im really happy that obs is converting so much faster than the other program i was using. i should be able to start working on the third and hopefully final attempt at syncing these recordings up within a few hours. i went to the concert a few too many times once i decided i was going to make a video out of my footage, so i've got a lot of really good crowd shots. i might actually have to elongate a couple of the already-too-long crowd shots just to fit some of it in. idk - i haven't gotten that far yet

it's a menace to work with, honestly; random bits of the crowd scenes and moments you would not expect are basically used as server loading screens, so the concert runtime varies from session to session by a few seconds or a minute, which is just enough to require ripping the entire concert apart and strategically putting it back together again, not to mention having to delete lagspikes from the recording.

i've got everything from an aerial timelapse of the heart train reaching around the whole entire stadium, to funny moments where text chat was visible on screen during the actual songs, to footage of the empty concert with me wearing the wings

in favor of not spamming chat with the full details i am replying to my own post. but what i didn't say is, i only joined the game for the concert, went to concert as wingless moth, got emotional, decided to give the game a shot, suddenly found myself in eden, came out of it in a dissociative fugue state, having been sent through one of the most rigorous gauntlets i've ever stumbled into with zero foreknowledge in the history of gaming, and having made friends using sky's cute system. then i went back through the concert again, recording that time, cried, and decided i would make a youtube video about it. so i went too many times, have a buuunch of recordings, and a lot of good footage. i think i might do a slightly longer commentary/review involving the way it made me feel and an explanation of the game's basic mechanics, but idk if my confidence is steeled enough for that just yet

i've been to the concert so many times that i could probably write the lyrics to the gibberish-language on paper from memory

We waited for each other when the other fell behind, worked together to burn the Battlefield plant, deep called a few times before opening the gate to warn others we were doing so, and then we blew kisses and threw confetti once we made it to the temple. there's actually a story, it's just very hidden and vague.

some theorize the rhythm spirits are a band of musicians who travel the realms and etc etc. there's a bonus end season cut scene for rhythm, i think you can find it somewhere on youtube
