yeah there is. when you're in the temple after it's opened, you fly up to the right side windows at the top from the inside, and on the one closest to the normal coliseum (not the clouds side) you can glitch past the barrier and then drop to the lower wall on the outside and launch yourself from there, it takes a little longer but there's like, no chance to get swept away to Wasteland this way
