It took me 20 minutes to find the battlefield one. I flew in there, flew around, someone activated the krills but that doesn’t scare me because I love them ( ) so I just kept looking, shards fell, I went outside to do the shards, grandma started, I went to do grandma, came back, and it was on the most easy to find spot ever

From my experience, I used to moderate in a large server (still smaller than skycord), and I noticed that I felt…inclined to be more formal and stern? It took me a while to open myself up to the community but there are times where we would be reminded to not be “too friendly” with the members. Sadly, this divide has led to a lot of issues, causing a major fallout

I find it unacceptable as normal members are the reason why a community can grow rapidly. If we can’t make them feel safe and welcomed, what’s the point of being a mod?

I tend to have this urge to constantly try to help everyone with anything they need, and whenever someone helps with something before me, I tend to get upset with myself.

I can understand that on a certain level, especially if the issue is something I have complete faith in resolving

The opposite can happen, too. I used to mod on an Amino community. And the mods, at least the ones who were there during my tenure, are all super nice and friendly people! But because you're in a position of authority, regular members are more inclined to be nervous/anxious/on edge with you. So it's definitely a little harder to engage with the community. So it's a matter of striking a balance between a position of power and friendly that the members might not pick up on anyway.

Makes being here a refreshing experience, though! I don't think I've seen anyone here fret about mods, mostly just treating them as friends.

Unfortunately, things aren’t as nice as you think in a community. In other words, you’re juggling a lot of perspectives and opinions people hold towards each other. And there are times where you need to make a decision to maintain a healthy community, even if you have to make difficult judgments

@fossil rapids Stockpile candles like you'll never get them again. For a daily route, if that's what you're interested in, I tend to go through the two daily realms, as well as the Wind Paths. I can get a good amount of wax from them, and it keeps the other realms fresh when they come up in the rotation. So tomorrow will be Valley and Wasteland. And if I need to supplement with granny, geyser and sunset, I will.

I like to learn different songs on kalimba first then transfer the notes to sky's instrument set up cause it's pretty easy to do, but I also enjoy just improvising at times. It can be daunting at first when people suddenly appear to listen, but it's also nice to just play to a small group of passive folks just minding their business and enjoying the atmosphere
